Supports the development of a IT performance management framework, including searching, recommending and implementing performance measures to assess the IT organization's business progress toward the company's strategic goals. This position partners and collaborates with IT management team to develop and report actionable IT performance measures that will enable decision-making.
Primary Responsibilities & Activities:
IT Financial Performance Management
Review IT financial results highlighting performance objective variances and identifying trends.
Develop, interpret, and implement IT financial and accounting concepts or techniques for IT financial plan and control
Partner with Donaldson Finance team to improve financial processes to more effectively support an enterprise, global IT department.
Lead IT annual plan process, improvement, and collaborating extensively across Finance and IT Leadership globally.
Engages in monthly IT financial review, analysis, forecasting and other tactical planning for IT organization.
Advise the IT management team in setting, achieving and monitoring of goals and objectives utilizing the IT financial concepts.
Partner with PMO in developing and enhancing IT projects and program management metrics.
Create reports to support monitoring performance metrics.
Working with IT Leadership and PMO to understand and report the utilization of resources globally
Support the effective project review and prioritization process
IT Asset and Vendor/Contract Management
Establish, implement and sustain policies/standards/procedures for hardware and software acquisition, protection, maintenance and retention to ensure their alignment with Donaldson IT standards and strategy.
Review and enhance asset tracking process. Develop periodical asset review process to maximize utilization.
Manage IT Capital Requisition process.
Coordinate with IT team members to interview, select and negotiate with hardware and software vendors to purchase the most appropriate equipment economically.
Review licenses and/or contracts to ensure the hardware and software equipment is covered by the contract and properly documented.
Classify, rationalize, and optimize the vendor portfolio. Ensure there are clear metrics across all key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure strong performance management.
Maintain/enhance tools for use in vendor management, including vendor tracking, analytics, and performance management tools (scorecards and dashboards).
Establish internal policies, standards, processes, and templates for working with vendors.
Analyze and evaluate change to drive continuous improvement and incorporate contract management trends.
Collect, consolidate, and communicate detailed reports and key vendor data to stakeholders on vendor performance, risk, and relationships.
Analyze problem areas and help resolve issues and disputes.
Define and hold strategic vendors reviews. Identify and execute value opportunities and manage regular senior-level collaborative meetings with the vendor.
Collaborate with Donaldson management and procurement with vendor evaluation and selection criteria, procedures, and best-practice tools and templates.
Provide oversight to vendor audits where required. Arrange and direct departmental activities and schedules.
Drive a team culture through a clear vendor management strategy, regular one-on-ones, and providing appropriate support and training to staff as it relates to vendor relationships.
Support a focused team to work effectively and consistently on a global basis.
Develop and manage relationships with corporate sourcing and procurement.
The ability to analyze and use data and measures to communicate service capabilities, and current performance - leveraging this information to improve service delivery and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.
Strong attention to detail.
Strong analytical approach to problem solving, with a focus on managing tasks with appropriate urgency in a results-oriented global team environment.
Demonstrated ability to successfully influence and negotiate with clients and/or vendors to ensure positive outcomes in the delivery of multiple IT services.
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to communicate with all levels within the organization.
Excellent planning and organizational skills with an ability to understand the long-term ("big picture").
Requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent (work experience that provides knowledge and exposure to fundamental theories, principles and concepts) in Finance, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related field.
Minimum 8 years relevant work experience including professional level finance experience.
Minimum 3 years of experience directing the work of others.
Familiarity with all IT disciplines.
Excellent contract management skills.
