Responsible for the day-to-day operation of the Network and Hardware services team to ensure it aligns with the business objectives of the organization.

Works closely with Sr. Management to identify, recommend, develop, implement, and support cost-effective technology solutions that enhance business continuity and directly support strategic initiatives.


Responsible for interviewing, hiring, scheduling, assigning work; appraising performance; coaching, counseling and disciplining; promoting and recommending for promotion; terminating and recommending for termination.


  • Designs, implements, and supports all infrastructure systems.

  • Develop business case justifications for major technology investments.

  • Develop and implement policies and procedures, including those for architecture, security, disaster recovery, standards, purchasing, and service provision.

  • Negotiate with vendors, outsourcers, and contractors to secure infrastructure-specific products and services.

  • Serves as liaison with staff to identify, define and seek resolution to defined business problems.

  • Monitors network and server performance and develops strategies for optimizing network and server infrastructure.

  • Administer and support Windows, Linux-based operating systems, AS400, and multi-vendor network routers, switches and firewalls.

  • Responsible for compliance with all Federal and Government regulations.

  • Administer and support Microsoft enterprise technologies such as Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, DFS, NPS, Group Policy, IIS, SQL, Certificate Authority services, Exchange and Skype for Business.

  • Administer and support network infrastructure technologies such as MPLS, VLAN, BGP, EIGRP, IPSEC, VOIP, VPN, WLAN, LAN, WAN, etc.

  • Administer and support VMware, Citrix, and other virtualization technologies.

  • Administer and support data replication technologies and system backups.

  • Administer and support ACL's, anti-virus, anti-spam, host-based firewalls, internet content filtering and other security measures.

  • Maintain patch management system for all servers and workstations.

  • Actively maintain help desk tickets and provide thorough documentation for problem resolution of tickets.

  • Provides on-site and remote hardware/software/network support to end users as needed.

  • Provide 24x7 support of the infrastructure.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Bachelor's Degree in the Information Technology field or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience and Other Requirements:

Minimum five years of experience in IT field.

  • Proven experience in IT infrastructure strategic planning and development, project management, and policy development.

  • Proven supervisory experience and strong leadership skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to apply IT in solving business problems and communicating them in a business/user friendly language.

  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.

  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.

  • Must be able to perform all functions independently with minimal supervision in a reasonable amount of time.

  • In-depth knowledge of applicable laws and regulations as they relate to IT.

  • Must be able to evaluate projects, prioritize, and delegate as necessary.

  • Must be flexible to work after-hours, weekends and on-call.

  • Well versed in all current Windows technology, PCs as well as LAN/WAN environments.

  • General knowledge in AS400 operating systems.

Extensive knowledge in Virtual Machine theory and function.

  • Some travel is required.

Certificates, Licenses and Registrations:

MCSE (Systems Engineer) or CCNE or related certifications preferred.
