The IT Network Analyst is primarily responsible for maintenance of data communication networks as well as Tier 1 and Tier 2 support which includes maintenance and deployment of all end-user facing technologies. The analyst acts as a primary interface to all the internal customers that are supported by IT to effect real time problem analysis and resolutions.

The position requires the ability to work independently and think critically, as well as cross-functionally. Excellent communication skills, and the ability to deliver high performance, high reliability, and high security to facilities and travelers.

Telecommunications / Networking

  • Configure and deploy Cisco switches and routers for branch offices.

  • Troubleshoot network and telephone issues.

  • Deploy phones.

  • Report telecom outages to service providers and coordinate the issue until service is restored

Support Desk

  • Maintain accurate inventory of computer equipment, peripherals, software and associated services.

  • Maintain, develop, and document corporate desktop images with an emphasis on ensuring compatibility, corporate standards adherence, security patching/compliance, and quality control.

  • Administer and maintain automated deployment system, System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM).

  • Create and maintain automated workstation build procedures.

  • Deploy computers and laptops to end-users, including Mobile Data Terminals (MDTs) and other mobile workforce equipment. Ensure complete user data migration from one machine to the other.

  • Maintain and monitor desktop support processes and activities related to Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery.

  • Provide support of client-side enterprise applications and technologies.

  • Participate in incident response tasks and be diligent in identifying risks to the technical infrastructure.

  • Provide end-user support on all desktop/laptop-deployed technologies including operating system support, Microsoft Office and all other productivity suites, SAP client support, remote access, laptop/desktop hardware repair, etc.

  • Provide effective remote support for branch offices through the use of various remote console access technologies.

  • Actively view, route, update, and/or close trouble tickets.

  • Participate in production on-call support rotation.

  • Provide technical support for projects.

  • Engage with team members as necessary in relation to Data Center operations, telecomm infrastructure, security, SAP enterprise business applications and legacy applications.

Other Duties

  • Perform research and provide information to management regarding new technology and equipment.

  • Participate as a team member for significant efforts that involve cross-functional collaboration.

  • Track, document, and report on progress of projects as well as day-to-day activities.



High School diploma or GED required. College courses or degree is a plus.


Minimum 3 years relevant experience with information technology services, including distributing multi-platform computing environments, including Windows, Linux, and UNIX. Experience with project management and technology acquisition a plus.

Technical Skills and Certifications/Licenses:

Network Certification required

Network Support skills required

Desktop Support, SCCM, or Cisco phone support required

This position is for a senior level candidate and will be responsible to provide network architecture design and system operational support for network devices on a large operational system and for potential future connectivity to other systems. Establish requirements, develop and evaluate technical solutions and architecture designs, perform solution analysis, design enterprise migration and implementation plan for data centers, remote access connections, cross-domain solutions, network ports, protocols, and services configurations, and meet the network requirements. Provide Tier 3 network support and maintain responsibility for analyzing and developing solutions for networking issues, by monitoring all operational communications systems and circuits, directing troubleshooting, and restoring all actions for unscheduled outages. Work as part of cross functional teams implementing engineering changes to the system, liaise with system administrators to provide solutions to operational problems, and provide installation and configuration support for new capabilities. Analyze network activity and performance to identify potential network issues or inefficiencies and develop and implement corrective actions, as required to meet and maintain accreditation requirements and test objectives, along with meeting system requirements for availability and functionality. Responsibilities * Knowledge of high performance data center solutions, network infrastructure LAN/WAN, network security and enterprise wireless infrastructure * Analyze business needs and designs, install and support network infrastructure services which includes: * Deriving and evaluating network/service architecture alternatives * Designing new services, infrastructure segments or other network solutions * Creating design diagrams and design documentation * Implementing services, infrastructure enhancements and changes * Auditing the network for infrastructure issues or opportunities for enhancement * Provide operational support revolving around Check Point firewalls. (Security/Threat Prevention Policies, IPSec Site-to-Site VPN Tunneling, Remote Access VPN) * Manage all network switching, routing (LAN/WAN), wireless and VoIP CISCO and Shortel environments * Ensure uninterrupted access to all unified communications and telephony systems * Identify and root cause network infrastructure issues and identify appropriate problem resolutions * Perform complex problem isolation within the Telecommunications and Network infrastructures * Performing operations troubleshooting and support of network voice and data devices and circuits. * Provides guidance during responses to emergency work requests; troubleshoots network failures and errors; and diagnoses, isolates, and resolves routine to moderately/highly complex network related problems ensuring timely results and minimal disruption of operations and reports findings to the Technical Director * Maintains records of work completed and in-progress; and updates network documentation to record installations, upgrades, configurations, etc. * Provides senior level Tier 3 telecom network services for complex issues elevated from the helpdesk. Identifies failing components. (Currently supporting nearly all levels of telecom support.) * Contributes to development of enhancing system defensive capabilities * Identify and plan preventive maintenance, software/hardware upgrades, patch management, and firmware upgrades * Maintaining and optimizing network services management facilities in a complex communications environment requiring interoperability, reliability and security. * Directing disaster recovery engineering, testing and implementation plans and technologies * Coordination, planning and communication of IT projects as well as documentation of any changes to the server systems * Design, develop, and implement Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity process, procedures, and infrastructure as well as actively participate in Disaster Recovery exercises * Work closely and support the Senior Network Analyst and the Application's team to better support server hardware, software and applications * Maintain and support security policy and procedures * Be on call to support the infrastructure as needed * Manage vendors for outsourced services and projects * Working with both end users and all members of the IT staff * Support cross training inside the IT Department so that member can learn from one and another as well as benefit the support team as a whole. * All duties and responsibilities may not be included in the above job description.
