Coeur Mining, Inc. (NYSE: CDE) is the largest U.S. based primary silver producer and a significant gold producer. The Company has five precious metals mines in the Americas employing nearly 2000 people. Coeur Silvertip, a subsidiary of Coeur Mining, is seeking a Network Administrator for its Silvertip Mine in British Columbia, Canada.
The Network Administrator will be responsible for all Coeur Silvertip networking needs as related to internet connectivity, wired and wireless networks, phone systems, satellite services, radio services, and general hardware and software needs. The scope of work will cover traditional IT networks and OT networks (process plan and underground mine). While based at the Silvertip Mine, this position will also be required to oversee and remotely support the Vancouver office's network needs.
Responsible for establishing appropriate systems/methods for the computer network through project planning, systems analysis, program development, and implementation, to achieve effective business solutions to meet the Company's objectives and priorities.
Develops general and detailed system design specifications and quality documentation; maintains accurate documentation on all network hardware and software, including technical documentation on configuration and installation procedures and standards; supports remote communications access needs.
Proposes policies and solutions for network-related issues.
Identifies alternate system approaches to ensure all networks operate in an efficient and effective manner.
Assists corporate IT personnel in developing project plans and in scheduling, monitoring, and communicating project status.
Reviews network for cost effectiveness, compliance to standards, flexibility, and efficiency to meet future needs.
Evaluates network back up and security, and maintains security parameters, including virus control.
Utilizes ticketing system for end-user support, workflow prioritization, and non-network related issues as directed and tasked.
Maintains network performance via network monitoring, analysis, troubleshooting, escalation, and resolution methods.
Monitors network for improper or unauthorized access and prepares reports as required.
Ability to work within ITIL change management framework, including planning, documenting, collaboration on, performing, and reviewing changes while supplying back-out plans and alternatives.
Maintains current understanding of new and upcoming business related technology and continually improves personal and professional SA/Networking knowledge through technical articles, professional forums, and online courses when appropriate.
Ability to lift and move 50 lbs., work outside in all kinds of weather, in confined spaces, and at all heights.
Ability to safely load and operate vehicles in a variety of conditions including but not limited to; heavy rain, snow, and varying underground conditions.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business, or other related discipline/equivalent experience.
Net+, CCNA, CCNP certifications or equivalent desired.
Server+, MCSE certifications a plus.
Familiarity with Cisco IOS preferred.
Familiarity with Fortinet products preferred.
Linux certifications a plus.
Approximately 3-5 years of experience with design, analysis, and maintenance of network software and hardware.
Knowledge of data storage and backup policies, standards and best practices.
Excellent organizational and project management skills.
Advanced knowledge of servers and networking in cloud, physical and virtual environments.
Ability to communicate with all levels of management and employees, both written and orally.
Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with others.
Ability to work independently as well as within a team.
