Position Summary

The role of the IT Device Management Product Specialist is to manage the entire lifecycle of assigned IT product(s) or service(s). Major responsibilities include collaborating with key stakeholders in the selection process, developing detailed system designs from requirements, capacity management, contributing to future direction and roadmaps, escalated support and product consulting. The successful candidate will oversee Device Management and perform daily operational tasks such as software packaging, software deployment and Infrastructure monitoring, along with other duties that arise.

This position is hybrid, working from your remote office and your assigned work location based on business need. The assigned work location will be within the PG&E Service Territory.

PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity. Although we estimate the successful candidate hired into this role will be placed between the entry point and the middle of the range, the decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to these factors. This job is also eligible to participate in PG&E's discretionary incentive compensation programs.

A reasonable salary range is:

Bay Area Minimum: $98,000.00

Bay Area Maximum: $146,000.00

OR

California Minimum: $93,000.00

California Maximum: $139,000.00

Job Responsibilities

• Create software deployment packages

• Manage software deployments across platforms for Windows

• Work with clients to identify issues and come up with timely solutions

• Develop automation tools to streamline deployment of hardware and software to field personnel

• Develop tools to increase user experience and provide a single pane of glass for operability on mobile devices

• Mitigation of cyber risks and remove vulnerabilities for the environment.

• Experience with risk analysis, data analytics, and visualizations.

• Understanding of elements of risk to include vulnerability, threat, likelihood, impact, mitigation, and remediation

• Work with vendors to deliver updates to common software and in an automatable installer

• Provide peer support for managing next generation mobile hardware

• Participate in major lifecycle projects including core platform technologies

• Collaborate cross-functionally with other teams to provide a One IT model

• Collaborate with team members and conduct cross-training for continue team skill improvement

• Experience working with tight deadlines.

Qualifications

Minimum:

• Associates Degree in Computer Science or job-related discipline or equivalent experience

• Job-related technical experience, 2 years

Desired:

• 1 year experience working client requests with Remedy

• Bachelor's Degree in computer science or job-related discipline or equivalent experience

• Utility industry experience, regulated

• 3 or more years systems management software (SCCM, Intune, JAMF, Remote Link)

• 2 or more years shell scripting, script automation (AutoIT, Powershell, Python)

• Application delivery and lifecycle experience

• Demonstrated working knowledge of GIT or other Source Control tools
