As the first IT Manager at STRIVR, youll have the opportunity to design and deploy IT systems and infrastructure for a rapidly growing, multi-location startup. You will be supporting a team of video content producers, and software engineers, working with very large and confidential data.

Your Responsibilities:

Gather requirements from Content Production, Engineering and Operations teams to develop, implement and support IT infrastructure

Monitor and maintain corporate network, conference room media devices, desktop equipment and more

Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing Service Organization Controls

Evaluate new vendors and business tools to enable compliance, maintain long-term projects, and aid integrations

Verifies application results by conducting system audits of technologies and infrastructure implemented

Preserves assets by implementing disaster recovery and back-up procedures and information security and control structures

Apply infosec policies, test security controls, educate and react on security policies

Completes projects by coordinating resources and timelines with other departments and vendors

Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed

Skills and Experience:

Bachelors degree or relevant professional experience

3-5 years of IT management experience

Experience managing Windows 10 and OS X

Experience designing and maintaining high performance, multi-site networks (with VPN gateways, segmentation, IDS)

A solid understanding of networking (both wired and Wi-Fi) and troubleshooting skills

Experience working with Microsoft Active Directory

Bonus if you also have:

Experience with Microsoft Azure

Experience with WDS (Windows Deployment Services)

Experience deploying and management of Android devices

Experience with high performance NAS systems

Operated by Stanford University on behalf of the DOE, SLAC develops and operates some of the world's premier science facilities, including the first hard X-ray free-electron laser. Researchers from SLAC and other premier institutions around the world use our facilities to investigate some of the most exciting and important problems facing our society in areas such as clean energy, environmental science, biomedicine, and advanced materials. The Office of Project Management seeks a Senior Project Manager. This position will serve as an advisor to the Director of the Office of Project Management on civil conventional construction contracting and Project Management. Provide technical expertise on contracting and execution for Linac equipment removal and disposition, and LCLS II Cryogenic Building projects. The Senior Project Manager will also serve as a committee member and advisor in LCLSII and the Monthly Project Management Advisory Group (PMAG) focused on civil conventional facility projects and project management independent assessment. Participate in the Directors Review as required. Provide support to the Office of Project Management related to management assessments and oversight as needed. Your specific responsibilities include: * Provide subject matter expertise related to project management and civil construction projects. * Participate as a subject matter expert in monthly PMAG meetings. * Participate as a subject matter expert in Directors Reviews as required. * Participate in management assessments of Office of Project Management. * Attend project meetings as required by Director of Office of Project Management with the intent to improve processes or provide project expertise. * Review and comment on project and contract documents as a senior advisor. * Provide focused guidance to project staff related to project management and civil construction contracting as required. Note: This is a non-benefits eligible casual-nonexempt position (work less than 50% full-time equivalent), not to exceed 980 hours in a calendar year. To be successful in this position you will bring: * Bachelor's degree in Engineering with a minimum of 10 years' experience in project management and civil construction or an equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience. Experience managing large DOE line item projects strongly preferred. * Must have an in-depth of knowledge in technical discipline/domain needed to deliver projects, in the following areas: * Thorough knowledge of and experience with management and planning practices necessary to successfully execute a major project to include: contract design, personnel selection and performance management, communications with contractors and vendors, contract negotiation and management, change control, earned-value measurement, etc. * Experience performing project engineering and project controls of complex industrial or commercial projects. * Experience managing multiple contractors across engineering disciplines on multiple phases and/or projects. * Must have strong construction safety knowledge, field experience, and commitment to construction safety as well as site control and schedule compliance. * Highly effective written and oral communication skills to address a wide variety of audiences. * Demonstrated project management ability to employ integration, scope time management, cost, quality, human resources, and communications, risk, and procurement components. * Demonstrated resilience, diplomacy, influence, relationship building, and problem solving skills in a variety of situations.
