Job Overview:

The Manager of Store Systems will spearhead the strategic management of the Oracle Retail application suite, encompassing the Xstore point-of-sale (POS) system and Oracle Retail Customer Engagement (ORCE), for our dynamic and fast-growing 1000+ store retail chain. This leadership role demands a comprehensive understanding of retail operations, POS systems, and project management. The ideal candidate thrives in leading both technical and functional specialists, fostering strong internal business and vendor partnerships, and driving successful large-scale POS deployments and ongoing support.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and Optimize the Xstore POS System for Retail Success

  • Drive strategic vision for the POS system, aligning it with overall business goals to maximize retail efficiency and customer satisfaction.

  • Champion successful implementation, operations, and optimization of the Xstore POS system across its entire lifecycle.

  • Lead high-performing teams to deliver impactful projects.

  • Collaborate with all participating business functions, like accounting, treasury, inventory and store operations to negotiate and drive issue resolution.

  • Forge strong vendor relationships with Oracle, Verifone, Tender Retail, and other key technology partners to ensure seamless integration and support.

  • Manage the POS system budget effectively, optimizing hardware, software, and support costs.

  • Guarantee ongoing compliance with industry regulations and security standards for a secure and trustworthy POS environment.

  • Spearhead POS system upgrade and migration projects, ensuring smooth transitions and maximized system uptime.

  • Leverage POS data analysis to identify trends and unlock opportunities for improved customer experience and increased sales.

  • Empower help desk and store personnel by supporting training programs designed to optimize their use of the POS system.

  • Provide exceptional ongoing support to help desk and store personnel, ensuring they can effectively utilize the POS and troubleshoot any issues that arise.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in retail operations and/or POS systems.

  • Experience with Oracle Retail Suite

  • Familiarity with databases and SQL

  • Software development skills a plus

  • Proven experience managing and leading a team of technical and functional specialists.

  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies.

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.

  • Experience working in a large, multi-site retail environment.
