Responsibilities
As an IT Manager you will be responsible for the technical infrastructure, organization and processes to ensure that they meet the long- and short-term requirements of the business. You will work with support staff and supervisors/managers in the planning and execution of department and project activities. Additionally, you will assist with further developing the skills and capabilities of the infrastructure technology staff and support organization and effectively utilize service providers and employees to provide a level of quality service to the business. This is a full time/direct hire opportunity located onsite in Lincolnshire, IL.
Qualifications
Proactively meet with business and IT management, staff and committees and IT Suppliers to translate the business requirements into actionable IT infrastructure and operational plans and projects to enable and support the business application systems.
Provide 24x7 support and resolution to problems and questions for the entire IT infrastructure environment, including but not necessarily limited to:
a multi-platform, multi-site processing environments containing the Windows Server, PCs, and laptops
private computing and storage providers
data and telecommunication systems, including all ponse
LAN and WAN hardware and software including routers, hubs, switches, network acceleration solutions
transaction processors such as On-Line Transaction Processors (OLTP), OLAP, database management systems, Internet servers, and internet application servers
Database and file management software
security software and hardware including Internet firewalls, VPN, end-user behavior management and tracking
messaging software and non-business application-level middleware
Proactively manage the relationships with the business user community, Suppliers and project team members by performing such activities as developing and implementing Service Level Agreements (SLAs), incorporating business requirements in process design and technology selections, developing processes that ensure a high level of service to the internal user and external communities of customers, suppliers and customers.
Develops, communicates and builds staff commitment to the department-division-corporate mission and continuous improvement culture while empowering staff to achieve objectives and perform consistently to the mission.
The candidate must have a car, as this position requires travel between location and the transportation of equipment
A valid driver's license and proof of vehicle insurance will be required
Legally authorized to work in the US without sponsorship
Must demonstrate a "can-do" attitude
