Main Tasks and Responsibilities The Infrastructure Manager is responsible for providing leadership in designing, implementing, and administering the company?s global Wide Area Network (WAN), Local Area Network Infrastructure, Communications Technology (voice and data), Data Centers located locally and in Latin America, Email Services, Backup/Recovery and service recoverability, Security Standards, and computing services within the enterprise which include: Help Desk and Desktop Support.

The Infrastructure Manager provides a vision of IT Operations and Infrastructure to all employees who report to this position with a roadmap of yearly objectives with target timelines. In addition, manage and collaborate with employees responsible for corporate infrastructure based in offices in 18 Latin America countries. The Infrastructure Manager will work to ensure world class enterprise-level systems in terms of support, backup, scalability, and overall reliability.

He/She is responsible for leading a service-oriented Information Technology department by implementing customer service metrics which measure IT?s ability to provide service and support. In addition, implements system performance metrics to ensure maximum system uptime and takes proactive measures according to metrics. Qualifications 10+ years? experience in in designing, implementing, and administering the global infrastructure locally and in Latin America.

A bachelor?s degree in computer science, technology, or business-related field at an accredited college or university. 10+ years of experience in the IT field. Requirements:

Expert knowledge required in the following systems: Cisco?DMVPN, OSPF, MSRP, End Point Protection, Telephone Systems, Cloud Technologies Firewalls - Fortinet Citrix Xen Server and Xen App Windows Terminal Servers Virtualization using Virtual Iron Skills ? Must be able to communicate with members, employees, and individuals in the community in a professional manner. This will require excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills along with the ability to present and explain information effectively for non-technically inclined individuals. ? Strong leadership skills and proven ability to delegate. ? Must have proven project management skills with projects of varying complexity and experience. ? Working knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory, data center systems including compute and storage equipment, SQL and MySQL databases, Cisco, Linux, and virtualization technologies as well as environmental controls. ? Work requires the ability to understand complex computer and network system operations. This understanding involves the computer operating systems as well as numerous user programs and applications. ? This Manager position will be supporting the Starmount Life business, and will be responsible for value stream delivery. This role will manage 10-12 people across two scrum teams. The teams would include scrum masters, software engineers, business analysts, and test engineers. This position is based in Baton Rouge, LA. Relocation services will be provided. Principal Duties and Responsibilities * Achieving the software/solutions/services delivery commitments of the team * Maximizing the effectiveness of the team and takes actions to increase performance and effectiveness of the team. Which includes developing, mentoring and coaching team members. The role promotes and facilitates the professional development of team members and ensures plans are in place to elevate the performance of the team. * May serve in a Scrum Master role for an agile team * For Agile teams, works with business partners and team to translate the business strategy or roadmap into backlog items * Responsible for ensuring that the agile team(s) apply best of breed software engineering practices including but not limited to – Test Driven Development, Peer Reviews, Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment practices, unit and regression test automation, comprehensive approach to addressing NFR, adherence to standards, comprehensive Definition of Done, team retrospectives, etc. * Using Agile metrics and tools to understand team performance and efficiency and takes actions to improve the efficiency of the team. * Maintains up-to-date knowledge of a broad range of emerging technology trends and identifies opportunities where technology might be deployed to deliver business improvements and competitive advantage.
