POSITION SUMMARY:

The Manager, Project Management Office (PMO) is to serve as overall lead and point of contact for the Project Management Office. Will work with each IT group to establish their integration with the PMO.

The Manager PMO requires experience leading and developing a PMO along with overall quality assurance delivery. Will manage large-scale, complex implementation projects involving RFPs, vendors, contracts, internal staff, and/or external clients. Will be required to communicate with IT and business leadership. Establish best practices and processes for; project initiation and planning, estimation and budgeting, project monitor and control, vendor management, staff mentorship, risk management, timely issue resolution, schedule management, stakeholder management, requirements management, change control, quality management, and a high-level understanding of current Microsoft 2016, MS 0365, and SharePoint.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree Business Management, Computer Science, or Marketing. Masters Degree preferred.

  • Previous Experience: 10+ years in IT program/project management with minimum of 5 years acquiring, managing, and/or implementing cross-functional projects. 5 years' experience leading, establishing, or assisting with a PMO Office. And 3 years working in quality assurance capacity as it relates to PMO implementations.

  • Core Capabilities: Advanced supervisory skills (i.e. mentoring, coaching, motivating, managing team members). Advanced understanding of service delivery and project life cycles. Advanced project planning, management, and delivery skills. Advanced problem solving and conflict resolution skills. Public speaking experience. Significant experience in meeting facilitation and negotiation skills. Significant experience resolving and/or escalating issues in a timely manner. Ability to absorb new concepts quickly. Ability to communicate difficult/sensitive information tactfully. Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment. Customer centric focus in task completion. Experience working in a team oriented, collaborative environment. In-depth, hands on knowledge of Microsoft product suite (MS 0365, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio). Working knowledge of MS Project and SharePoint.
