What You Should Have

The Manager of IT is accountable for overseeing the budgeting, planning, and execution of multiple cross-functional IT changes that are inter-related. Also, helps establishing a clear vision, building organizational capability, driving execution, and enabling a high impact program management function for the IT organization. This position provides leadership for delivering business capabilities, fostering and demonstrating thought leadership and innovation with business partners and stakeholders.

This position collaborates with the Application Development, Quality Assurance, Enterprise Architecture, Analytics and Infrastructure teams to plan and deliver Enhancement Change Requests, Break Fixes and Implementations on time, on budget and with the required functionality; including managing the product backlog along with senior business leaders and facilitating priorities on various work items and track different work streams, milestones, and status. Responsible for end to end Program Management process including: managing Business Analysts and Project Managers, collaborating with key stakeholders.

Work in conjunction with App Dev Managers, overseeing IT capacity and demand planing. Works with Release Management team for release planning and release readiness. Develops communication plans to ensure all impacted parties are aware of changes that relate to them. Leads a continuous risk management process to identify and assess risks, and develop and manage mitigation measures.

  • Able to direct and lead the delivery of highly complex IT applications and systems, which includes leadership of multiple dependent projects and change requests across multiple functional areas and platforms.

  • Able to lead meetings with executive business partners and technology leadership to understand business goals and solutions needs, including participation in business requirements definition.

  • Able to develop program-level vision, strategy, approach, and implementation plans required to achieve necessary business outcomes.

  • Able to supervise employees including selecting or recommending selection, training, assigning and evaluating work, coaching, counseling, disciplining, and/or termination or recommending termination.

  • Able to identify, track and manage program level risks and issues. Serves as escalation point to resolve program issues, remove roadblocks, formulate contingency plans and communicate status to programs executive leadership team.

  • Able to successfully manage a varied workload with minimal intervention from Management

  • Proven ability at building strong and positive relationships with the project teams and key stakeholders.

  • Able to lead the assessment of potential changes within the program area, support the analysis of the business opportunity, define the delivery approach and build capacity planning.

  • Able to develop relevant metrics for monthly throughput in Enhancements, Implementations and Break Fixes and use metrics as basis for communication and continuous improvement

  • Proven ability to remove barriers and enable teams to complete their objectives.

  • Exceptional communication skills - written, presentation skills, etc.

  • Experience with the following tools and technologies is preferred. Cherwell, Microsoft Team Foundation Server (TFS), PPM Pro, Azure DevOps

  • Prior experience in the Healthcare industry preferred

  • Experience working in an on-shore\off-shore model a plus

  • 10+ years in mid to large enterprise software project management; 5+ years of Agile experience in Scrum
