Johnson & Johnson Technology Services is recruiting for a IT Manager, MD-JDE - Problem & Reliability, located in Raritan, NJ.

This position will also be responsible for Application Maintenance and Platform support operations - supporting Medical Devices JDE Business Services for North America. In addition, this position will also be responsible for JDE Platform Administration and Application Maintenance. This role will drive Incident, Service and Change management driving efficiency in Speed, Quality, Cost and bring continuous Improvements.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

In this role, the incumbent will support the operations and maintenance of NA JDE-Medical Device services. This role will be Responsible for Request, Application Security Management, Event Management, Incident Management, Capacity Management and Production Transition. Ensures efficient and expedient recovery of services required by the business in the case of disruption.

Problem Management

  • Manage all problems from the time they are detected, all throughout their resolution and closing in order to prevent problems and resulting incidents from happening, to eliminate recurring incidents and to minimize the impact of incidents that cannot be prevented.

  • Responsible for full Problem Management Lifecycle (Record, Classify, Prioritize / Investigate and Diagnose / Resolve Problem / Close Problem)

Availability Management

  • Ensure that the level of service availability delivered in all services is matched to or exceeds the current and future agreed needs of the business, in a cost-effective manner.

  • Responsible for End-to-End Lifecycle (Plan & Design for Availability, Risk Assessment, Implement Countermeasures, Test Availability & Resilience Mechanisms, Monitor, Measures, Analyze, & Report Availability)

Capacity Management

  • Ensure that cost-justifiable IT capacity always exists and is matched to the current and future agreed needs of the business.

  • Responsible for Capacity Lifecycle in conjunction with Infrastructure to analyze, tune & implement capacity as needed. Perform application sizing and plan & optimize)

Continuous Service Improvement

  • Monitor and measure the quality of IT operations, benchmark these metrics, and initiate improvement actions when they do not meet minimum requirements.

  • Responsible for incorporation of non-functional requirements in application development

Continuity / Disaster Recovery

  • Coordinate with Disaster recovery group to provide input in ITSCM Plans and Testing Activities

Approximate Percentage of Time Tasks/Duties/Responsibilities

20% JDE Platform services

60% JDE Application services

20% JDE Continuous Service Improvement

Qualifications

Education:

A minimum of a Bachelor's degree is required.

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:

Required:

  • 8+ years of experience as an IT/Operation specialist supporting JDE application and platform with understanding of servers, storage, databases and applications architecture

  • Strong hands-on experience in various latest JDE Applications and products including JD Edwards OneWorld, EnterpriseOne, JDE Web Client and Oracle DB support.

  • Knowledge of Linux and Windows operating system is mandatory

  • Experience in monitoring and or supporting the implementation of JDE and security controls

  • Expertise in ITIL processes (incident management, change, problem, release management)

  • Strong communications verbal & written; creating sound arguments; or to adequately represent both business and IT implications during a Major Service Disruption

  • Maturity, high judgment, negotiation skills, ability to influence, analytical talent and leadership are essential to success in this role

  • Focus on business outcomes, strategic thinker with ability to prioritize team goals and activities

  • Seek out and apply feedback toward your own performance and career goals

  • Undertaking working across technology stack, trouble shooting issues and finding root causes and driving service improvement plans to improve the reliability of platforms

  • Knowledge of Supply Chain planning in the areas of demand planning, supply network planning, production planning

PREFERRED:

  • SAP HANA experience is desirable

  • JDE certification

  • Work directly with Business partners/ Technology Product Owners / developers/SaaS vendors/architects to drive solutions to build stronger more reliable CBT applications

  • Engage in and improve ERP Services applications - design, deployment, operation, automation and continuous improvement.

  • Perform Production Readiness reviews and ensure operational resource capacity based on business criticality of the application

  • Interact with technologists around the world building global and regional services and relationships with some of the most passionate, dedicated, and caring individuals in the world.

OTHER:

  • 20-25% travel is required.
