Glimpse of the Day
As an IT Manager III, you will provide people and technical leadership to IT Managers (I and II) and IT Professionals who support desktop computing needs across multiple business units such as Finance, Human Resources, Marketing and Communications, and Technology Services. Continous improvement of processes and customer service is a key aspect of the role. Being self-directed, resourceful, and detail oriented are vital as you and your team are responsible for providing excellent customer service that is not only responsive, but forward-looking as we strive to anticipate potential issues and continuously improve our processes and those of our customers.
The ideal candidate is a subject matter expert in multiple topics including Windows and Mac desktop administration and troubleshooting, Information Security, Audit and Compliance, Project Management, Consulting, and Service Management. Competency with PowerShell scripting and SQL query language is needed as these are commonly used . You wIII will participate in multiple meetings and committees consulting with customers, vendors, and other technology services staff.
Salary: Up to $99,500, commensurate with experience
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience (Pefer Bachelor's or Masters degree in computer science or a related field)
Seven years of information technology experience (Prefer 10 years of IT experience which includes six years of team/project leadership)
Prefer Certifications in information security, or IT related certifications such as MCSA, CISSP, Network+, Security+, project+, ITIL Foundations
Knowledge of IT governance and compliance, IT Security and best practices, technical IT knowledge
Strong project management, communication and leadershp and management skills
Strategic planning and problem-solving skills
Ability to remain adaptable and make sound decision
Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to achieve common objectives
Ability to foster a collaborative work environment
Ability to engage in continuous learning through industry research, workshops, and education, fostering innovation and staying abreast of IT advancements
Experience overseeing and auditing operational tasks and addres
Experience managing IT in higher education is not required though preferred
