What does a successful IT Manager do at Fiserv? • Youll be responsible for managing and leading high-performance teams in a dynamic work environment. • Youre capable of handling high level of complexity and ambiguity while delivering projects. • Youll partner with application architects, SMEs, and developers to identify business need and build appropriate delivery roadmap while ensuring adherence to standard future ready process and building high-performance teams. • Youll work broadly across organizations, both internal and external, to drive aligned approaches. • Youll have the passion, convictions, and the innate ability to inspire passion in others.
What you will do: • Demonstrate strong knowledge of application development technologies and tools as well as all functional areas in IT organization • Master how technology relates to business, market, and industry and applies that knowledge to support the needs of the business • Work closely with senior executives to develop business targets, KPIs and plays a critical role in the broad business planning. • Work on moderate to complex projects, programs, and issues within functional area • Collaborate and recommend strategies for improving system applications in terms of stability, control, automation, and alert • Work closely with and across agile teams and have a measurable impact on all of our customers • Make data-driven decisions, prioritize how and when to build features, and work with leadership to drive an improved customer experience • Collaboratively and objectively assess benefits, costs, and viability of proposed solution options and drives alignment across a diverse group of stakeholders What you will need to have: • 8 years of experience leading software development or IT teams • 5 years of hands-on mainframe technology experience in MVS, CICS, COBOL, JCL, MQ, etc. • 5 years of experience in scope, schedule, budget, quality, and risk and critical delivery management • Fintech application knowledge (debit/credit cards, payments and networks) • Experience in DevOps, Agile and JIRA What would be great to have: • Bachelor’s degree in science, technology, engineering or math major or equivalent work or military experience • Experience leading COBOL/Mainframe development teams • Experience leading and delivering services in a high-growth environment • Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes, and coordinating release schedules • Experience defining KPIs and SLAs used to drive businesses and reporting to senior leadership Important info about this role: • We’re better together. This role is fully on-site for the first 90 days. After that, it’s on-site Monday through Thursday, and you can work remotely on Fridays. • In order to be considered, you must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without need for visa sponsorship now or in the future. • This is a full-time, direct-hire position, and no contract options or unsolicited agency submissions will be considered.
