Job Description Job Description JOB SUMMARY: The Information Technology Manager is responsible for managing all aspects of information technology.

This position serves as the first point of contact with IT needs, issues and technical support. This position works closely with the Network Manager to resolve IT issues and identify and develop enhancements. May also cross train with Network Manager to provide backup support.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential job functions: Responsible for ensuring that all software and applications used at Excell are running to full efficiency.

Troubleshoots and resolves performance and functional issues of software and applications timely to minimize downtime. Provides troubleshooting and IT support for all hardware systems such as printers, phones, tablets, handhelds, copiers etc. Ensures successful implementation of changes and updates to existing systems to accommodate process and business changes.

Coordinates projects assigned to outside systems programming vendor and establishes priorities and budget for project work. Coordinate requirements with vendors for periodic software upgrade implementations. Collaborates with Finance department to determine technology annual budget, accounting for maintenance, system support, programming changes and hardware needs.

Identifies opportunities for improvements and efficiencies utilizing technology. Partners with Sales team to ensure EDI is set up correctly by testing and working with outside vendors on issues. Responsible for daily posting in accounting programs.

Works with Senior IT Specialist to maintain current inventory of hardware and software and determines end of life processes and procedures. Works with Senior IT Specialist to utilize Help Desk software to track, prioritize, benchmark technology problems and identify solutions and enhancements. Partners with the Finance and Warehouse departments to conduct yearly physical inventory.

Protects organization values by keeping information confidential Performs other related duties as required and assigned Backup for EDI daily processing JOB REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Information Systems preferred 5 years of experience in the IT field or related area, including increasing levels of responsibility 3 years of managerial experience DESIRED SKILLS Familiarity with a variety of Information Technology concepts practices and procedures Experience with SQL database management and programming preferred. Working knowledge of how the ERP related applications function Working knowledge of how the Warehouse Management Solution functions Proficient with C#.NET programming Proficient with Microsoft SQL Server Proficient with Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services Working knowledge of Forecasting Systems KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

Strong problem solving, analytical skills and sound decision making processes Ability to effectively communicate, both orally and in writing throughout all levels of the organization and external vendors Ability to work independently and treat confidential information with discretion Ability to remain professional and maintain a pleasant demeanor in dealing with all of the requirements of the position Ability to manage more than one process at a time Good organizational skills Strong proactive communication skills Willingness to work flexible schedule to accomplish responsibilities Ability to operate in a professional office environment, routinely using standard office equipment Must develop an understanding of the details of Excell’s business, in particular the products Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals ENVIRONMENTAL AND PHYSICAL ACTIVITY REQUIREMENTS : The daily responsibilities of this position constantly require effective talking, hearing, sitting, walking and standing functions. Frequent repetitive motion activities are required. Must be able to read print and computer based materials and to do so with consistent accuracy.

Most of these functions require light physical exertion and are conducted in a temperature controlled environment with occasional exposure to hot and cold temperature. INTELLECTUAL/EMOTIONAL REQUIREMENTS: The occupant of this position must be able to perform the responsibilities of the position well under pressure.

The position requires adaptability to performing a variety of duties, often changing from one task to another without loss of efficiency or composure. This position requires the ability to manage a number of projects at one time, and may be interrupted frequently to meet the needs and requests of others. It also requires adaptability to fluctuate between priorities on a daily basis while being responsive to needs as they arise
