In this is an individual contributor role, you will be recognized as an Agile transformation leader and expert in Agile, SAFe and Product Team structure and IT teams will naturally gravitate to you for guidance. As such, you will affect significant change without direct authority over resources with whom you interact.

Major Duties/ Responsibilities

  • EPMO Partners are responsible for supporting TJX IT Towers with dedicated Portfolio, Project, Program and functional Planning and Delivery services.

  • Mentor and coach teams to adopt an agile mindset and become self-organizing.

  • Assist with establishing Community of Practice for Agile Practitioners.

  • Develops and implements IT program and project management standards as the owner of the SDP (Solution Delivery Process). Implements standards and methods to ensure project resources, deliverables, costs and timescales are managed appropriately. In collaboration with BSLs and IT Shared Services, ensures project management methods are utilized consistently across IT departments and are in alignment with strategic IT and enterprise-wide goals.

  • Provides reporting and presents materials to Sr. Management and IT governance boards on the continual changes and improvement of the IT Project Management process and standards.

  • Partners with Solution Delivery Leaders (SDLs, and their delivery teams - program, project managers, technical groups, Developers, BAs and QA resources to improve the Plan, Build and Run

  • Project, Program and Process Governance Develops, Publishes and advises on the available standards, procedures and techniques

  • Sets up and provides detailed guidance on Demand Management, Project/Program Management solution delivery procedures, tools and techniques.

  • Develops effective working relationships with Solution Delivery Groups (SDLs, Functional/Domain leaders) and is recognized as a trusted advisor and practitioner in specific area of expertise within plan, build and run.

  • Establish and facilitate appropriate governance forums and committees to monitor and track Plan, Build and Run functions

  • Initiates, leads or supports Continuous Improvement initiatives and projects within the EPMO including, but not limited to, the improvement of key EPMO tools.

  • Develops and continually maintains documentation of standard yet flexible processes and deliverable templates in collaboration with SDL and other IT Functions

  • Represents and acts as key liaison for OCIO requests for assistance from SDLs on Continuous Improvement initiatives to mature processes and organizational capability. Provides reporting and presents materials to Sr. Management and IT governance to support decision making and strategic planning

  • Stays current on industry best practices in your function and applies these as needed.

  • Identify, recommend and deliver training as need to support your function

  • Analyses data and situations and present results and recommendations to Senior IT Leadership

Skills/Knowledge

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Business or equivalent work experience

  • Minimum of 7+ years Agile experience, with 3+ years practicing Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) delivery. You have most likely performed one or more of the following roles in your career to date - Agile Consultant, Product Owner/Manager, Scrum Master.

  • Certification as a SAFe Program Consultant (SPC 4.5) desirable.

  • Strong knowledge of Scrum, Kanban and Value Stream Mapping (VSM) required

  • Understanding of Agile technical best practices and DevOps concepts (CI/CD, TDD,) automation tools, coding standards, source control management, build processes, PaaS/IaaS (Microsoft Azure preferred)

  • Strong understanding of Agile metrics for teams and programs.

  • Hands-on experience participating in and leading Scrum/SAFe events, such as Sprint Planning, Release Planning, and Program Increment (PI) Planning.

  • Advanced problem solving skills to help SDLs improve consistency in assigned functional areas such as project planning & estimating, project delivery, improvement of reporting and financial tools and identifying consistent ways of measuring what we do.

  • Comfortable developing cross functional collaboration with others, understanding where and when to step in, roll up sleeves and actively demonstrate desired project delivery skills, to define and shape project and operational KPIs and metrics, and to promote the adoption of tools and methodologies across the organization.

  • Strong combination of "real world" Solution Delivery knowledge, financial acumen, analytical methodologies (Six Sigma), process improvement frameworks and IT operational best practices.

  • Superior collaboration and relationship building skills; possesses the presence and credibility to act as a trusted advisor.

  • Ability to exchange ideas openly with SDL leadership and EPMO peers and to reach consensus/solve problems.

  • Works as a team with other EPMO Partners to promote solutions and best practices in support of the TJX organization.

  • Strong interpersonal skills, including analytical, relationship building and presentation skills

  • Strong written and presentation skills, ability to tailor information to an audience in a way that establishes rapport, persuades others, and gains understanding at all levels.

  • Demonstrable experience defining KPIs, metrics and measures

  • Ability to lead, influence, inspire, motivate within a matrixed environment and without formal authority

  • Ability to handle multiple, concurrent priorities with little or no direction, and meet established timeline

  • Regularly facilitates meetings with and makes presentations to Senior IT Leadership

  • Pragmatism and the ability to strike the balance between the need for process versus the need to accelerate project delivery and not overburden teams with unnecessary administrative overhead is key.

Our Vision for this Role Within Security Operations, our Security Engineering team is responsible for our security tools suite. As a security engineer on this team you will focus on maintaining, improving and optimizing our tools. You will act a subject matter expert to identify/recommend/implement process and technology improvements.
