Job Responsibilities
The IT Manager role will be responsible for a variety of tasks that require enhanced knowledge of POS systems, infrastructure, hardware, and operational procedures
Streamlined POS processes to allow faster turnaround time of projects and service requests
Maintenance of all enterprise menus (POS and app) including ongoing weekly updates
Upkeep and tracking of all enterprise POS hardware
Updating & upkeep of POS system structure, including system cleanup
Training and assisting internally and externally on strengthening POS best practices. This includes POS system structure, operational procedures for system cleanup/upkeep, and utilizing advanced tools for system changes
Support analytics and POS data
Create and manage Power BI dashboards to analyze data
Implement, support, and advise in all POS system updates, installations, and conversions
Provide POS Tier 2 Support and above
Implement and Maintain IS ticketing system
Supervise and support all aspects of Compass networking infrastructures
Assisting other departments such as operations, marketing, finance, and loss prevention in completing tasks that they may need assistance in
Manage and/or work with project managers on tech related project needs
Researching and implementation of new tech
Maintain FTP site for Nextep imports and exports
Basic Software development - tools that allow nationwide support with minimal staff
Create and maintain SQL Databases for all POS software and tools
Assist in API integrations between different POS platforms
Job Summary
Eurest is looking for an IT Manager to oversee day to day IT operations for a client account.
As an IT Manager, you will supervise that all systems are working accurately and efficiently is critical to the success of our overall operations. We are looking for someone who has great attention to detail, knowledge and understanding of the role technology plays in our industry; extremely knowledgeable in POS (Nextep preferred); who is passionate about solving problems and thrives in a fast-paced environment. Candidates should have excellent written and oral communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, and outstanding analytical and research skills. In addition to being a seasoned, well-trained professional, the successful candidate will be a strategic thinker with the ability to inspire confidence from, and to collaborate closely with technology leaders and internal stakeholders.
The candidate must reside in either Portland/ Hillsboro, OR or Phoenix/ Chandler, AZ
Education and Professional Experience
Education/Experience:
Minimum of seven (5) years of experience in IT/ POS management. Experience and/or knowledge of Foodservice is strongly preferred.
Ability to solve practical problems and take care of a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Able to communicate effectively with management team, guests and team members by speaking and comprehending English
Travel is crucial for this position a minimum of 50% of time between accounts on the west coast (including but not limited to CA, OR, AZ, NM)
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as discounts. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
