Cashman Equipment Company seeks an IT Manager who will further its corporate strategy and objectives through the efficient and effective operation of the IT Department. The selected candidate will be responsible for developing the company's overall IT strategy in coordination with senior leadership and an experienced IT staff. The IT Manager will design, implement and maintain the company's IT systems, hardware, software and processes, as well as manage and support IT Department personnel, with the overarching goal of delivering the best customer experience. The selected candidate will work closely with the executive team and decision makers in other departments to identify, recommend, develop, implement and support cost-effective technology solutions for all aspects of the organization. Finally, this individual will be charged with ensuring the security of company data, systems and networks and will draft and enforce policies, procedures and best practices to effect the above.

Oversee all technology operations and personnel, including the company's IT Support Center, Systems team and Software Administration team.
Understand the objectives of other departments to identify solutions for their IT needs.
Develop and implement software applications needed to achieve established goals.
Oversee the installation and performance of all hardware, networks and software.
Ensure the security of company data, systems and networks.
Manage the company's various communications systems.
Conduct regular systems analyses for security and other improvement opportunities.
Recruit, hire, train and develop employees consistent with department/division goals.
Advise senior management on information systems issues and needs.
Establish business continuity plan and disaster recovery procedures.
Champion the use of information technology within the company.
Enable Cashman to achieve its objective of Safely Home. Everyone. Every Day. by promoting a positive safety culture and adhering to all company safety policies, procedures and practices.
Ensure 100% system and information availability during business
Coordinate the purchase of hardware, software and accessories.
Prepare and adhere to annual departmental business plan and budget.
Provide regular and timely feedback to motivate and develop IT personnel.
Maintain strong working relationships within the Caterpillar dealer network.
Other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Comprehensive knowledge of various computer systems (including Microsoft's product suite, IBMi, AS/OS 400 system); LAN and WAN networking; voice communications; hardware and software implementation and support best practices; effective leadership techniques and practices.
Proven skills developing (or overseeing the development of) software applications; presenting to and communicating with executives, peers and employees; managing large-scale technical projects; negotiating with service providers and vendors to obtain best pricing and results; developing IT staff.
Excellent ability to read, analyze and interpret technical materials; respond promptly and professionally to inquiries or complaints from internal and external customers; explain complex technological issues to laypersons; continuously improve through innovative solutions; lead, manage and deal with others; deliver the Best Customer Experience.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
BSc/BA in computer science, engineering, business or a related field required; MSc/MA preferred.
Minimum of eight (8) years of progressively responsible experience in Information Systems with at least four (4) years in a managerial position.
Background in designing/developing software and IT systems, as well as planning IT implementation.
Experience with Caterpillar's Dealer Business System (DBS) and ERP improvements or conversions is highly desirable.
Experience working at a dealership or within the heavy equipment industry is a plus.
