What you will do
The IT M&AManager reports to the Director IT M&A and functionally supports the
Corporate Development Office and Global IT Teams. The role will mobilize andlead cross-functional IT teams in the execution of IT M&A projects withinrigorous transaction time frames. The M&A Manager will ensure thesuccessful delivery of IT M&A projects for assigned- merger, acquisition,JV formation, and divestiture activities with a primary focus on the applicationsystems integration/separation. This role will be responsible for onboardingand directing application project managers in support of their assigned M&Aprograms. The individualwill work collaboratively with the IT M&A Director to define andresource the appropriate project managers and business analysts for theirdesignated M&A transactions and ensure the M&A department retains apool of strong project managers from one deal to the next.. This role will helpdevelop a flex model to help the M&A team staff up and down as the pipelinegoes up and down. The individual in this role must have a strong understandingof IT concepts and have extensive program and project management experience.This person must be a skilled communicator since the role interacts with alllevels inside and outside the organization.
How you will do it
Monitorone large or multiple smaller projectsthrough the execution of the transition process
Managethe day-to-day detailed aspects of multiple projects/programs
Directingwork/projects, controlling cost/schedule elements, management of resources,communications management, reporting, and change management.
Coordinateand utilize resources for multiple projects in the program
Establish,maintain and explain the program methodology, procedures and policies,consistently within the Enterprise PMO and M&A rules and guidelines.
Communicatewith project managers to address potential risks
Solveproblems and issues
Monitorthe progress of M&A program components to ensure the overall goals,schedules, budget, and benefits of the program will be achieved.
Communicateprogram objectives, goals, and progress to program directors, executives, uppermanagement, and stakeholders
Evaluateand supervise multiple projects
Organizecross-projects work within the program
Leadand mentor project staff and team members
Effectivelycommunicate with key stakeholders and engage key influence networks (internaland external)
Helpestablish IT M&A program one time cost estimates
Interfacewith external third parties as required to support transaction execution.
Provide management reporting on M&Aactivities as required
Deliveringprograms on schedule, within budget, and in accordance to thespecification.
Initiating,planning, executing and closing all program deliverables as committed.
Supportthe vendor selection and management process (scope, plan and milestonedefinition, operational issues, deliverable & milestone approval, qualitycontrol, etc.). Manage vendor administration (SOW activation, PCRsauthorization, invoice approval).
Driveprogram planning and control from an operational point of view (activity,milestones and resource planning), with a special focus on core activities andglobal plan consolidation.
Ensurethat projects are organized and executed in a consistent manner withinestablished corporate standards and tools.
What we look for
Bachelor's degree required; Advance degree in IT related field or MBA preferred.
12+ years Program Management experience required.
3-5 years supervisory experience overseeing large scale projects, global teams, project managers, application leads.
Experience leading large IT M&A deployments or separations preferred
Experience project managing IT M&A integration and separation activities
Advanced program management skills in complex IS and business environments, including ability to coordinate multiple teams in various locations and time zones.
Deep project management experience managing large-scale, global implementations.
Must possess extensive knowledge and expertise in the use of Project Management methodologies and tools.
Passion for leading teams and implementing change.
Demonstrated leadership skills. Strong negotiation and team-building skills with the ability to create consensus around decisions and mitigate conflicts among different teams.
High communication skills required at all levels. Must be able to interact and impact senior leadership. Excellent command of verbal and written communication (English). Effective presentation style for all levels of stakeholders
Strong problem solving, decision making, issue analysis and resolution skills. Highly organized.
Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities with internal clients.
Ability to work well in a fast paced multicultural global work environment.
Demonstrated ability to work with multiple stakeholders and manage competing priorities with internal clients.
Ability to gather and address both business and technical requirements. Must be highly motivated self- starter.
