About the role

We are looking for a self-motivated IT intern to join our dynamic People team. As the IT Intern, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience and assist in providing technical support to our organization. This role is ideal for anyone pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field or for someone who is looking to jumpstart their IT career.

This is 3-month internship and is an in person role based out of our Lehi, UT clubhouse. The ideal candidate will be able to come into the clubbouse Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:00 am

• 2:00 pm.

What you'll do

• Provide technical assistance and support to end-users through various channels, including Slack, Zoom, and in-person

• Troubleshoot hardware and software issues, including printers, laptops, desktops, and mobile devices

• Assist in workstation setup, including OS configuration and software installation

• Help resolve network connectivity issues by troubleshooting wired and wireless connections

• Maintain accurate inventory records and document equipment and software

Collaborate on IT projects such as software upgrades, network enhancements, and hardware installations

• Managing keycard access for both clubhouse (Lehi) & Cabin (Provo)

• Lead out on managing computer inventory via Rippling

• Support computer offboarding - proactively clean up, diagnose state, or replace as needed

• Improving the computer storage at the Clubhouse and proper inventory of what we keep on hand and for how long

• Cable Management around the office

• Inventory and manage stock of cables, mice, and keyboards

• Updated floor plan managed in Miro

• Updated desk names and maintaining available

• Ensure daily readiness of conference rooms

• Perform daily cable cleanup throughout the office

• Update, reset, and maintain conference rooms

What you'll bring

• Ability to commit to the full internship period (3-months), starting in July

• Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field

• Strong interest in advancing IT skills

• Solid communication and interpersonal skills - friendly and outgoing personality

• A positive, can-do attitude, capable of determining when to have fun (or as we call it "keeping it weird") and when to reinforce a needed process

• Proven self-starter with the ability to take initiative and drive tasks to completion

• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team

• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities

• Basic knowledge of hardware and software troubleshooting

• Experience with Zoom and familiarity with Mac operating systems

• Experience with Miro, Notion, and Google Workspace a plus

• Strong research skills to explore and implement tech solutions independently

• Previous experience setting up video and audio equipment for hybrid meetings a plus!
