This is an opportunity for undergraduate rising senior or graduate students with an interest in information technology to apply principles and theory learned in the classroom in a professional environment.
The intern reports to the IT Director and assist him with general IT Service Desk support duties across FOX Architects. Candidate must be willing to commit to working at least 20 hours a week during regular business hours with some flexibility around an academic summer course schedule.
Our studio is located walking distance from Foggy Bottom/GWU (blue/orange/silver) and Dupont Circle (red) metro stations. Our open studio provides a professional environment where everyone's inputs are valued, and great ideas celebrated.
Students must have the following qualifications:
Currently a graduate student or senior undergraduate student at an accredited Information Technology or Computer Science program;
Former professional experience working in a Help Desk environment supporting network printing, account management, software updates, device maintenance and updates and other general IT tasks;
Proficient in Microsoft and Adobe products. Strong word and excel experience;
Knowledge in Autodesk products would be a plus but not needed;
Knowledge of VPN, RDP and windows servers would be helpful;
Basic print server, apple products such as smart phones and Apple TV a plus;
Exceptional communication skills and maturity to take on tasks with a positive attitude;
Exceptional time management and client service attitude;
Ability to work independently and resolve problems in a logical and thoughtful manner.
