Job Description
The IT Intern is responsible for assisting in the maintenance, upgrade and management of the company's software, hardware, and networks. The position provides up to Level 2 Technical Support.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Install and configure new PC/laptop software and hardware
Manage network servers and technology tools
Set up employee work accounts and workstations
Utilize Eurofins ticket system to support company staff
Monitor performance and maintain systems according to requirements
Troubleshoot issues and outages
Ensure security through access controls and backups
Upgrade systems with new releases and models
Develop expertise to train staff on new technologies
Develop technical documentation and IT procedures
Assist with assessment, implementation, and training of new companywide software systems
Assist IT Administrator with various Facilities related tasks.
Qualifications
Education/Experience
At least 1 year previous work experience in a technical position (or equivalent education)
Experience with databases, networks (LAN, WAN) and patch management
Knowledge of system security (e.g. intrusion detection systems) and data backup/recovery
Familiarity with various operating systems and platforms
Microsoft Windows 10 and higher
Microsoft Windows Server 2012 and higher
Microsoft Hyper-V Core 2012 and higher

Effective communication and analytical skills required
Strong project planning and organization skills
Must be able to work effectively in a team environment

Certificate and Licenses
Must maintain a valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instruction furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Math Ability
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, proportions, fractions, and percentages to practical situations. Ability to perform a financial analysis of IT projects.
Language Ability
Must have the ability to perform all of the following in English:
Read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, financial reports, and legal documents
Write reports, and business correspondence
Effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, employees, customers, and the general public as well as being able to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers
