Your new responsibilities

IT Infrastructure System Engineer Location: Wilmington MA POSITION SUMMARY The IT Infrastructure System Engineer will be responsible for design, implementation and support of both local and cloud hosted infrastructure applications in our IT environment. The successful candidate will possess a strong combination of analytical and technical skills and will design best practice infrastructure solutions in close collaboration with internal software applications developer team. The position will include working in a project lead role on small to medium-sized projects. GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES1. Project work. Actively work with process/application resources to design / implement the technical solution that best meets the business requirements

  • in the area of infrastructure application, including but not limited to:Participate in IT implementation projects which require hosted infrastructure support (server/database);

  • Lead system upgrade projects (e.g. server/DB/applications upgrade) and other enhancement & optimization projects in infrastructure area (e.g. server consolidations)
    2.Daily support, troubleshooting and bug fixing for local & cloud hosted infrastructure

  • Work on both SAP basis administration and non-SAP applications administration

  • Ensure infrastructure environment reliability and stability

  • Follow OSRAM IT service management tools and practices

  • Work with outsourced IT partners to resolve technical issues. Drive for technical resolutions in timely & qualified fashion.

  • Deploy scripts, setup and monitor background jobs, install/refresh security certificates, apply ad-hoc patches, perform system/DB refreshes.
    3.Ensure OSRAM Corporate IT guidelines and governance in the infrastructure application area

  • Be trained and follow strictly HIPAA security rule

  • Ensure 4-eye principle in terms of system changes/updates deployment

  • Follow OSRAM data privacy rules

  • Support periodic internal and external audits

  • Demonstrates the ability to independently gather business requirements, design technical solution and implement solution, either alone or by coordinating with other IT resources.

  • Consistently demonstrates initiative to acquire and utilize new technical skills within job function.

  • Consistently achieves target dates for assigned tasks aiding in on budget delivery of the project.

  • Delivers technical solutions that meet Business Requirements, IT technical standards and is sustainable in the planned productive environment.

  • Uses project management practices and tools to provide tracking information

  • Bachelor's Degree or above in Computer Science, Business, Manufacturing, or other related area.

  • Minimum of 5 year experience in infrastructure area, preferably possess Peoplesoft, Taxware, Hyperion, Readsoft, SAP basis admin knowledge.

  • In-depth knowledge or experience in server admin and database admin, preferably in a cloud hosted environment like IBM or MS Azure.

  • Prior experience of using ServiceNow or SAP Solution Manager is a plus.

  • Excellence in interacting with business and IT teams in the US, Europe and Asia.

  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills in English. Spanish or German a plus.
