Leidos Defense Health Operation currently has an opening for an IT Infrastructure Support Specialist I in San Antonio, TX. The IT Infrastructure Support Specialist (Infrastructure Monitoring Analyst) will be responsible for providing first-level IT infrastructure event monitoring and event management in a 24 x 7 operations environment following standard operating procedures.

The Monitoring Analyst is also responsible for comparing and correlating events from multiple sources, maintaining accurate incident records, and initiating appropriate actions to avoid or minimize loss of IT services. This position requires familiarity with enterprise network architecture and distributed application processing technologies - Knowledge of Military Health System (MHS) applications a plus. .- Reports to Infrastructure Monitoring Supervisor or Lead Monitoring Analyst.

Responsibilities:
Accurately log, ticket, and own/escalate incidents resulting from infrastructure events.

Provide accurate, timely, and professional documentation on all supported issues. Provide a high level of professionalism and customer service. Follow up on all incidents in a timely and professional manner.

Quickly identify and escalate high-priority issues within established response times. Accurately triage/assign/escalate tickets following standard operating procedures. Efficiently and accurately resolve all assigned incidents.

Identify and document incident resolution and support knowledge base. Complete all assigned duties in a timely and accurate manner. Adhere to a defined working schedule. May be required to work alternate shifts or hours.

Skills:
Strong critical-thinking skills that facilitate expedient problem solving.

Must be knowledgeable of and capable of effectively using common infrastructure and application monitoring techniques and tools. Excellent communication, customer service, time management, conflict resolution, and problem determination/resolution skills. Familiar with ITIL and service desk support methodologies. Functional knowledge of MS Windows, MS Outlook/Office, VPN/remote access, network printers, networking technology (routing, switching, network management) and distributed application processing.

Minimum Requirements:
Minimum relevant technical certification (Network+ or CCENT). Familiar with ITIL Foundation process framework (certification preferred). Minimum AA/AS Degree in Computer Science, MIS, or related field and 2 years equivalent related experience.

  • US Citizenship required, must be able to obtain and maintain an ADPII government security clearance.

  • Must have flexibility to work on any shift as needed.
