The IT Infrastructure Project Manager proactively manages day-to-day operational and tactical aspects of multiple projects, including client interaction and expectations. The projects in this role will be focused on IT Infrastructure. The role will serve as Project Manager and Account Manager of both major and minor projects for the Infrastructure team. This person will be expected to act as an effective liaison between client stakeholders in the business and application development teams to align Infrastructure resources and capabilities to meet the internal/client project needs. This person will report to the Director of IT Infrastructure and serve as an integral part of the team.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain the project management plan, including configuration management, risk management, issue management, and communication plans.

  • Project portfolio management responsibilities of driving projects from business case preparation, including ROI, to delivery and transition to support organizations.

  • Plan, coordinate and supervise the build, test, and implementation tasks related to Infrastructure projects; leading cross-functional teams to successfully drive projects to completion.

  • Measure and monitor progress at clearly defined points in the process to ensure that the project is delivered on time, within budget, at a level of quality consistent with constituent expectations.

  • Effectively communicate project expectations to project resources and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree required

  • PMP Certified

  • 5-10 years of experience

  • Strong written and oral communication skills

  • Strong interpersonal skills

  • Able to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment

  • Can conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities

  • Able to elicit cooperation from a wide variety of sources, including management and clients.

For decades, we have provided system installation and engineering support to the federal government on multiple security and IT modernization efforts. We have openings to support the FAA's upgrade of its physical security and access control infrastructure. If you would like to contribute to the security of our nation, and have the capacity to manage a large, technical project, then Parsons needs you. Duties and Functions: As a regional project manager you will oversee large, complex delivery or project plans and procedures. You will assist the Program Director in working with the FAA's contracting officer (CO), and the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR), government management personnel, and customer agency representatives. Under the guidance of the Program Director, you will be responsible for the overall management of the specific orders, ensuring that the technical solutions and schedules in the delivery order are implemented in a timely manner. Furthermore, you will perform integration planning, and interface with subcontractors and other government contractors. This program consists of multiple projects to locate, design, install, test, integrate, and maintain complex systems and facility security infrastructures. These facilities and/or systems are located at numerous locations throughout the nation at FAA service areas and centers. You will assist the Program Director in establishing and implementing procedures and controls to bring these facilities and systems to a point of full compliance with the latest security standards. * Work is expected to begin on this project in December of 2018. Required Qualifications: * A Bachelor Degree or equivalent in, Management, Engineering, Business, Architecture, or Science is required. We will accept Engineer-In-Training Examination (EIT) or Professional Engineer (PE) certifications in lieu of a Bachelor's degree. * Twelve or more years of progressive, engineering-related, general management experience in design, installation, integration, and testing of complex electronics equipment. * The 12 years of experience must include 7+ years of general experience, which includes design, installation, testing, and integration of complex systems and subsystems * You must also have at least 5+ years of specialized experience in managing security programs preferably with a multi-site scope. These 5 years of experience must also include at least a 2-year period managing highly technical installation projects involving groups of at least 30 personnel. * The primary job location is Fort Worth, TX, but frequent travel to the central FAA hub in Oklahoma City, OK is required.
