Position Overview

Align seeks an IT Project Analyst to address the pivotal role of project support, reporting to a Senior Project Manager. The Project Analyst will be a multitalented, disciplined individual with an interest in and understanding of infrastructure and workplace technologies. This is a unique opportunity for recent college graduates to work across various verticals and areas of technology to help assess what interests them most and to get broad experience early in their career. Analysts receive training while being mentored by senior IT consultants and Project Managers. You will have the opportunity to shape your career as you hone your technical, consultative and project management skills.

The ideal candidate will have a combination of technical and soft skills, including the ability to think critically and possess a strong grasp of data analysis. Qualified candidates must be detail-oriented with excellent communication and writing skills. This person must be organized with the ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

The IT Project Analyst will be based in our New York City office; however, some occasional travel should be expected

This is a full-time employment position offering comprehensive benefits, a competitive salary, paid training and performance-based bonuses


  • Provide on-site consulting support for Align clients as directed by the assigned Solutions Director or Project Manager

  • Participate it IT Transformation Projects including current to target state technology assessments and technology roadmap development

  • Participate in various IT project management activities including site surveys, needs assessments, preparation of documentation, scheduling vendor installations, data analysis and coordination of various project deliverables

  • Contribute to the RFP process, project planning, current-state vs. target-state assessments and client presentations

  • Assist with the administration of projects including acting as a scribe and transcribing meeting minutes, making updates to budget and project plans, creating project documentation, etc.

  • Create visuals of data center cabinet elevations, network diagrams and floor plans using graphics programs, such as Visio and Asset Point

  • Assist with client billing

  • Become knowledgeable of company standards and procedures

  • Learn the Align toolset including Asset Point, CAD, ASMT, CFD, etc.

  • Align professionals are expected to continually enhance their professional and business skills, and are encouraged to take advantage of opportunities provided on the job and through participation in training programs both internally and externally.


  • Bachelor's degree related to IT, Engineering Management, Business Analysis or Project Management

  • IT Project Management career trajectory

  • Advanced Microsoft Office Suite skills: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio

  • Some IT infrastructure (Coud, Systems, Network, Security) product/industry knowledge

  • A passion to evaluate and leverage new and emerging technologies to drive innovation related to IT Infrastructure, Cloud and End User Technologies (Workplace Technology)

  • Relevant internship or co-op experience related to IT infrastructure or data centers is preferred

  • Must be eager to learn

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, organizational and writing skills are required

  • Excellent analytical and facilitation skills, with proven ability to manage multiple projects, resolve and escalate issues and prioritize technical resources

  • Ability to maintain focus, shift attention quickly to respond to the unexpected while progressing on tasks/projects

PCG's portfolio totals $42 billion across several classes, including Corporate Privates ("CP"), Infrastructure, Asset Backed Securities ("ABS"), and Leveraged Capital (high yield and mezzanine securities). These investments are typically long-term, fixed rate debt securities issued by public or private companies outside of the public bond market, in a range of industries and geographies. The Infrastructure team within the Private Credit Group of AIG Investments is looking to hire an Investment Analyst in their New York office. In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring a portfolio of existing investments and assisting Infrastructure Team deal leads in evaluating new transactions. The Infrastructure portfolio includes over 200 Project Finance, Energy and Utility debt issues in 16 countries. Annually, we consider over 70 new credits and are continuously monitoring trends in these industries. New investment recommendations, amendment and restructuring negotiations must be conducted using good judgment on credit, structure and pricing with the goal of providing appropriate levels of protection and return for the risk taken. Your Contribution At AIG * Monitor credits in the Infrastructure portfolio including: reviewing periodic financial and compliance statements; completing credit reviews; analyzing amendment requests; ensuring accurate monthly portfolio pricing; and other duties as assigned. * Assist in the analysis, review, and recommendation of new private placement transactions including: developing financial models; analyzing industry trends and issues; drafting approval memorandums; participating in due diligence meetings with issuer management; conducting reference checks; and participating in internal approval committees. * Follow sound risk management and compliance protocols within AIG. Work with in-house and external counsel, to satisfactorily document amendments and new transactions. * Maintain relationships with issuers, Infrastructure sponsors, debt advisors and other investors, as well as work with internal constituents, to close transactions. * Assist with special projects as assigned. What We Are Looking For * Elementary familiarity with Project Finance, Utility or Energy financial structures and legal documentation. * Technical knowledge of infrastructure integration; specifically how credits allocate risk, or a keen willingness to know * Understanding of specialized markets, including power, transportation, energy and natural resources. * Background in debt capital markets, bank loans or commodity markets. * Understanding of political processes, many investment opportunities incorporate some political risk.
