Title: Manager, I.T. Infrastructure
Location: Manhattan Beach, CA
Duration: Full Time

General summary:
The I.T Infrastructure Manager is responsible for directly managing the Systems, Network, and Telecom Engineering teams within the I.T. Infrastructure department. This person will be responsible for planning, communicating, and executing to agreed-upon strategy, and will provide consistent, reliable, and predictable service results. The position will work closely with technical, applications, security, and 3rd party service and support vendors. Responsibilities include all the Server, Storage, Network (LAN/MAN/WAN and branch networks), and related infrastructure technology systems that the Credit Union employs. The I.T. Infrastructure Manager will be responsible for change management, and problem management, as well as leading root cause analysis efforts. Responsibilities also include negotiating Operational Level Agreements (OLA's), Service Level Agreements (SLA's), and measurement of appropriate key performance indicators that will help drive Client's business and IT strategies. The I.T Infrastructure Manager will have a proven track record of managing projects and diverse technical staff, including development of processes, documentation, and associate training.

Nature and scope of position:
The I.T. Infrastructure Manager works with a minimal amount of supervision and is authorized to take reasonable actions necessary to carry out the assigned responsibilities of the position, provided that such action is consistent with cost-effective practices and is consistent with the policy and procedures of Client in general. This position will require advanced technical skills, sound judgment, attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and ability to mentor others.

Manager responsibilities:
The I.T. Infrastructure Manager leads System, Network and Telecom Engineers/Administrators and oversees all their work. This person is also expected to take the lead on assigned projects and is responsible for managing the work of others working on the said assigned projects. This includes managing 3rd party vendors on projects.

Essential duties and responsibilities:

Manage staff with responsibility for Server, Storage, Voice, and Data Infrastructure
Architect and implement high-quality technical solutions to meet business requirements that are cost-effective
Medium and long range (3- 5 years) strategic planning and delivery to achieve business goals
Implement systems security, utilizing tools and techniques in support of Client's objectives and policies
Provide leadership for I.T. Infrastructure initiatives which include developing project plans, assign and manage resources, identify and solve problems, and meeting deliverables
Establish baseline performance and availability measurements
Proactively monitor and report on performance and availability metrics for the Server, Storage, Voice, and Data Infrastructure
Works with the Infrastructure team and in conjunction with the Information Security Department to maintain security on all I.T. Infrastructure devices
Technical design and implementation of I.T. Infrastructure requirements for new applications
Evaluates, reports and recommends new and emerging technologies
Conducts financial analysis to support strategic planning on IT system purchases and upgrades
Builds strategic partnerships with various support and service vendors
Works with his/her manager on vendor selection and contract management
Communicates status of activities with the team, peers, management, and end-users.
Coaches and mentors employees, providing career and professional guidance as necessary
Creates, reviews and approves performance evaluations and manages fairly, consistently, and routinely
Provide technical management for the company's 24x7 Primary and Disaster Recovery Data Centers
Develops and performs routine best-practice maintenance service and support for the enterprise supporting NCUA, FFIEC and PCI compliant environments
Leads and manages I.T. Infrastructure refresh strategies
Writes proposals to meet strategic company and department requirements
Creates and maintains process documentation while working to continuously improve processes through automation
Coordinate all coverage to ensure adequate support 24x7x365
Builds relationships with key stakeholders throughout the business, and helps to identify and resolve business issues, and to Client new areas for continuous improvement
Develop internal and external OLA's and manage vendor performance

Minimum Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Expertise in Windows server operating systems (2012/2016) and best practices
Expertise in Active Directory including domain services, replication, trusts, and group policies
Expertise in supporting Windows services such as WINS, DNS, DHCP, IIS, replication and TCP/IP
Expertise in VMware including provisioning, configuration, performance tuning, troubleshooting, monitoring, and reporting of both hosts and guests
Expertise in desktop virtualization technologies such as Citrix XenDesktop
Expertise in SAN environments including LUN management, replication, fiber zoning, performance tuning, troubleshooting, monitoring, and reporting. Experience managing and supporting an Client/3PAR SAN environment a plus.
Expertise in network design, management, and troubleshooting with Cisco Nexus 9K, 7K, 5K, and 2K Data Center switches with VDC, VRF, and VPC configurations as the core foundation
Expertise with Cisco routers, switches, ASA firewalls, load balancers, routing protocols, remote access and wireless systems (WAC/WAP) to support an Enterprise LAN/WAN topology
Expertise in LAN, WAN, and supporting networking technologies
Expert knowledge of Voice over IP technologies
Expert knowledge of data/voice cabling structures
Working knowledge e-mail traffic flow, encryption types, content filtering, IPS/IDS, network access control, and other data security technologies.
Ability to communicate effectively with vendors, suppliers and staff in person and over the telephone.
Ability to analyze and present recommendations to senior management on the acquisition, design and implementation of Server, Storage, Voice, and Data Infrastructure equipment, as well as vendor selection and related services
Ability to present technical information orally and in writing in a non-technical way for employees, and decision makers
Familiarity with project management techniques; expected to lead projects
Ability to effectively direct work of others and foster team commitment to tasks, as well as work well under the direction of others
Ability to interact with professionalism and establish effective working relations with vendors, suppliers, staff, Credit Union members, and others encountered in the course of work
Ability to perform highly detailed work on multiple, concurrent tasks, under intensive deadlines
Ability to maintain organized and detailed records
Possess good coaching, teamwork, interpersonal, and customer service skills

Education, Training and Experience:
Potential candidates for this position must meet the following suggested requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, MIS or a related field
10+ years of related professional Information Technology experience
Industry-recognized certifications preferred (e.g., MCSE, MCITP, CCNP, CCNA, CCNE, CCNP, CCIE, CISSP, etc.)
Bank, Credit Union, Mortgage, or other Financial Services industry work experience a plus
