IT Infrastructure Manager

IT INFRASTRUCTURE MANAGER: The IT Infrastructure Manager analyzes, designs, and implements large and complex information systems and networks. Responsibilities include: designing, developing, and maintaining websites, applications, databases, and systems; developing coding standards; designing and maintaining enterprise application reports; analyzing user needs to determine technical requirements; implementing solutions; designing computer systems to meet user needs; and developing and coordinating system projects.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

•     Knowledge of Systems analysis and design principles;

•     Knowledge of web site development methods, principles, and practices;

•     Installing, configuring and troubleshooting technological platforms, databases, and systems;

•     Utilizing and managing systems;

•     Analyzing problems and recommending appropriate solutions;

•     Establishing and following procedural and technical standards;

•     Monitoring and assessing web sites;

•     Designing, developing and implementing applications;

•     Interpreting customer requirements and translating into system specifications;

•     Communicating technical information to a non-technical audience;

•     Providing training and instruction on hardware and software;

•     Ability to interact with coworkers, supervisor, and the general public; and

•    Exchange or convey information.Minimum Requirements:

•    Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or a related field; six (6) years of related work

     experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

•     Certifications:  Network+; Cisco VoIP Administration

•    Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license

All applicants tentatively selected for a position with Beaufort County Council will be required to submit to urinalysis to screen for the illegal use of drugs and to a background check prior to appointment. Employment is contingent upon clearing both the drug screening and background investigation.
