Information Technology Services is a team of dedicated professionals providing core technology and cybersecurity services to agencies statewide, enabling state employees to serve Idaho's citizens.

The Office of Information Technology Services has an immediate opening for a full-time Service Desk Technician (IT Information Systems Technician). This is a challenging career opportunity for a personable and professional individual with strong customer service skills. This position provides administrative and technical local-area-network support for approximately 50 agencies, boards and commissions. The incumbent will be a first-tier contact responding to service/help calls from its customers.

Typical Responsibilities:

  • Provide tier 1 and tier 2 support to customers;

  • Assist users with desktop applications;

  • Installs, configures and maintains hardware and software products;

  • Troubleshoot, evaluate and perform corrective actions on hardware and software issues;

  • Utilize standard problem identification and tracking processes;

  • Assist with monitoring and troubleshooting the network, database and storage related problems and participates in solution resolution on larger problems;

  • Plan, implement, test and document upgrades and migrations;

  • Participates in making recommendations to clients for future hardware or software additions or enhancements;

  • Provide after hours on-call support as needed.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Experience evaluating and resolving computer, system, and user problems including compatibility conflicts, application operations, hardware malfunctions, and telecommunications problems;

  • Experience installing and maintaining computer hardware, software, and peripherals in the network and/or multi-platform environment;

  • Experience providing one-to-one IT training;

  • Experience using two or more applications software to support users.

Specialty Minimum Qualifications:

  • Good knowledge of helpdesk software;

  • Willingness to work at a help desk without any direct hands-on or on-site activities with PC users;

  • Ability to lift 50 pounds of equipment.

Desirable Qualifications (not required, however, having this experience will increase your overall score):

  • Experience in desktop operating systems supporting computer patch support and management;

  • Experience in maintaining an enterprise domain including Microsoft Active Directory, Exchange and Office 365;

  • Experience in the installation, support and problem resolution of Microsoft Office products.

The Information Security Manager is responsible for protecting the integrity and confidentiality of DRAM technology intellectual property (IP). RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT NOT LIMITED TO: * Own the successful planning, implementation, and maintenance of DRAM IP security programs. * Develop and maintain an operating model for IP protection across the organization which reflects assessed risks, user needs, and compliance obligations. * Ensure appropriate adoption of corporate security programs and services. * Work across functional areas and roles to plan for all security-related aspects of the organization's applications, hardware, and information assets to include cloud-based solutions. * Oversee performance of security systems including encryption capabilities, intrusion detection, intentional or unintentional data loss, user authentication, access provisioning, data loss prevention, information rights management, etc. QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE * A Bachelor's degree in Information Security/Assurance, Business Management, or related discipline (Master's Degree is Preferred) * 5+ years of experience managing enterprise-scale information security programs * Excellent organizational, documentation and leadership skills * Able to clearly and effectively communicate technical and non-technical subject matter * Work effectively with senior leadership and provide high-quality work products on a short deadline * Experience managing multiple projects and globally dispersed teams. * Highly-effective change management and advocacy skills across cultures and function areas * Knowledge and experience with MS, linux and LDAP access management systems is preferred * Related certifications such as PMP, CompTIA Security, CISSP, etc., preferred * Experience with semiconductor, memory or consumer electronics industries preferred ABOUT US As the leader in innovative memory solutions, Micron is helping the world make sense of data by delivering technology that is transforming how the world uses information.
