The Helpdesk Coordinator will be responsible for providing workstation management and software support to local and remote end-users, as well as coordinating related vendor services as needed.
This is a part-time regular position and is classified as non-exempt. This position is based out of our Chicago office and reports directly to the IT Director.
High school diploma or equivalent, some college preferred.
At least one year experience working in a help desk environment or equivalent technical experience.
Demonstrated customer service skills.
Ability to work and solve problems in an online environment.
Excellent documentation and quality assurance skills.
Able to work in team environment with minimal supervision.
Ability to train and educate end-users.
Ability to work under pressure and to handle multiple projects under tight deadlines.
Experience with disk image preparation preferred.
Experience with non-profit organizations preferred.
Relevant certifications (CompTIA, Microsoft) preferred.
Responsibilities (included, but not limited to)
Providing helpdesk support for Windows, MS Office, and other common business applications.
Providing support for VoIP phone system.
Creating and maintaining an inventory of hard drive images.
Imaging, preparing, and deploying computer equipment.
Archiving and decommissioning computer equipment.
Maintaining inventory of equipment, software, and licenses.
Coordinating repair or replacement of computer equipment, liaising with vendors as needed.
Preparing technical documentation/how-to guides as directed.
Other projects and duties as assigned.
