Information Technology (IT) Governance Manager uses the collective tools, processes and methodologies that enable the Bank to align business strategy and goals with IT services, infrastructure or the environment. The IT Governance Manager is responsible for IT Regulatory Compliance, IT Audit Governance and IT Governance support.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1.Develops, refines and ensures adherence to best practices in the areas of IT General Controls, Incident, Change and Problem Management, Audit and Information Security.
2.Establishes and maintains IT framework to provide assurance that IT strategies are aligned with and support business objectives, are consistent with applicable laws and regulations through adherence to policies and internal controls.
3.Manages professional relationships with regulatory agencies and providing guidance on dealing with IT regulatory developments, preparing reports for various Board Committees, and monitoring compliance with IT regulations and strategic objectives.
4.Creates, maintains and enforces written policies and standard work procedures for all IT functions, including computer operations, security and technology compliance.
5.Facilitate the identification of information assets and the development, documentation, updating, and communication of policies, standards, procedures, and guidelines that ensure confidentiality, integrity, and availability
6.Develops, implements and enforces IT standards and procedures.
7.Support the IT Department with its responsibilities in responding to requests from internal and external audit entities including reviewing requests, monitoring audit execution and reviewing findings.
8.Builds and maintains strong business relationships, ensuring IT is aligned with strategic business objectives and helps drive value to the business.
9.Assist in the development of strategic work plans, budgets and IT strategies to meet business needs.
10. Works on IT projects interfacing directly with internal customers and third-party vendors to ensure projects are completed in an efficient and effective manner.
11. Maintain awareness and knowledge of current changes within legal, regulatory, and technology environments which may affect IT governance. Ensure staff are informed of any changes and updates in a timely manner.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Experience in audits of access control, data ownership, and change control.
Ability to appropriately respond to technical inquiries from audit and regulatory agencies.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Comprehensive understanding of Bank compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley Act internal control attestation requirements.
Organized - able to handle multiple deliverables.
Strong communication/interpersonal skills, team leader/player, task management skills, attention to detail and project coordination/planning.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Experience & Education
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related technical field.
Minimum of 6-8 years of professional technical responsibilities related IT.
Additional certification(s) in technical applications or project management is desired.
Internal and External Contacts
This position requires external contact with outside vendors.
Internal contacts are with all department managers, senior management and directors on an ongoing basis.
Working Conditions/Physical Requirements
Office environment. Ability to operate computer. Ability to communicate in order to exchange simple to complex information with individuals and groups. Ability to travel throughout Bank footprint.
