In support of the Manager, IT Financial and Vendor Management, the IT Financial Management Analyst will provide an executive level and cross-functional support of all financial analysis and reporting needs of the ITS organization, assist with coordinating all budgeting and forecasting processes and help to instill financial and vendor management disciplines throughout the organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Support financial planning and budgeting, monitor and assist with the management of IT expenditure, ensuring that all IT financial targets are met and examining any areas where budgets and expenditure exceed their agreed tolerances.

  • Support developing and implementing financial and vendor management disciplines across the entire IT organization.

  • Support senior management and functional departments with in-depth analysis as required, including but not limited to budgets, invoices, and contracts; provides ad-hoc analysis to resolved issues and support business decisions.

  • Use technology solutions and tools to create reporting & dashboards that enable teams to have appropriate visibility to financial and contract data; prepare IT financial reporting and provide analytical context for management consumption.

  • Assist with improving the effectiveness and efficiency of management reporting, including the delivery of sustainable financial tools to keep the ITS organization on course.

  • Seek out expense reduction opportunities for Information Technology spend, including but not limited to maintenance and contract renewals.

  • Audit and assist with financial approvals, including IT requisition and invoice processing.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities, multiple assignments in parallel, and maintain a positive customer-oriented attitude.

  • Strong writing skills including the ability to author process flows and requirements specifications.

  • Ability to be successful in a fast-paced, high energy environment.

  • Exposure to annual business planning.

  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, including but not limited to Word, Excel, PowerPoint

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably financial management, business administration, accounting, or Information Technology-focused.

  • 3 or more years of experience in IT Finance or related field including a minimum of 3 years of data analysis, forecasting, budget management and reporting experience required.

  • Experience with planning, forecasting, and process development and improvement.

  • Experience with ERP systems and financial management tools is a plus.

As a Project/Program Manager you will be responsible for accomplishing various analytical studies and/or projects relating to substantive, mission-oriented programs of the Internal Revenue Service. The studies or projects involve complex programs, systems, or issues and have impact on multiple IRS locations and/or organizations.
