The IT Chief Administration Office is responsible for the Financial, Human Capital, Vendor Management, Sourcing and Procurement, Compliance, Legal, and Facilities activities of the Global IT Organization.
From a high-level the right candidate will gain valuable knowledge of the operational elements that are the "backbone" of all business/front office operations and revenue generating activities. On a lower-level they will learn through hands-on participation and execution how to create the structure, model, processes, and skillsets needed to successfully support any business in any industry.
The accounting/operations Intern role will be exposed to all aspects of the Chief Administration Office and will directly support tactical accounting and operations for the Information Technology department. The role will be involved with financial transactional processing, operational processing, account analysis and reconciliations as well as working with Corporate and proprietary applications to enter, process, analyze and report on data.
In addition to financial transactions, this role will also support Human Capital, Legal, Compliance, Vendor Management and general reporting functions within the group.
The accounting/operations Intern role will interface with IT team members and other members of Accounting, HR, and Finance, from time to time, in order to gather, interpret, understand and be accountable for the information and data they will process.
On-going entry, maintenance and execution of Financial, Human Capital, and Payable transactions:
Purchase Orders; Invoice Coding and processing; Month End Account Reconciliation; Vendor Journal Query (VJQ) Updates; Month End Accruals; Salary Feeds against Projects; Hardware and Software Expense Database; External (SOW) Spends Database; Headcount Reporting and processing
Journal Entry Creation
Tracking of future payments and forecasts - Financial, Headcount
Support the larger processes and reporting, when needed.
Ad Hoc and augmentation activities as they arise.
2nd/3rd/4th Year student in pursuit of a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration (Other Degree Programs are welcome to apply and will be equally considered)
A minimum of 2 years of completed Accounting, Finance or Analysis course work in your current curriculum.
A sincere desire and passion about Accounting or Finance, Financial Reporting or Business Administration
On-the-Job financial/transactional processing and analysis experience is a plus, but not required.
Experience with Corporate Applications or knowledge of application usability is a plus, but not required.
