We are seeking a qualified IT Field Services Technician to provide installation and maintenance for equipment in the field. Their duties include installation, troubleshooting, and repairs. A successful Field Service Technician candidate can adapt to a variety of work environments and quickly solve problems. Their main responsibility is to provide excellent customer service while maintaining equipment, with specific Field Service Technician job duties:
Objectives of This Role:
Rapid response readiness to assist with information technology systems issues at MB2 Dental partner offices
Work with vendors and in person through systems configuration, troubleshooting, and systems maintenance
Listen attentively to end-user questions and concerns and offer optimal solutions
Prioritize end users' satisfaction in all communications, directing unresolved issues to next-level personnel
Work with Systems Administrations and Networking Engineering staff teams to provide partnered offices with superior onsite service
Represent MB2 Dental with professionalism and integrity while helping end users and partner offices
Responsibilities:
Preparing statements of work for planned field deployments
Installing or upgrading equipment maintained by MB2 Dental in various field locations
Configuring hardware and software components after installation
Performing routine maintenance on technology equipment
Testing equipment to troubleshoot the issues
Documenting installation and repairs in ITSM ticketing systems
Maintaining all tools and equipment used during service calls
Teaching customers how to use the equipment properly as needed
Ability to lift 75lbs. servers and computers, etc
Provide Tier 2 support to the MB2 Dental Service Desk
Skills and Qualifications:
Experience with virtual machines in a VM-Ware and Hyper-V environment
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
The ability to break down technological processes and deliver clear, step-by-step instructions
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Commitment to providing exceptional customer service
Exceptional time management capabilities
Capable of traveling from one place to another for work purposes and can deal with changing schedules
Preferred Qualifications
An associate or bachelor's degree in IT computer science or a related certification is preferred
2+ years of technical experience in the industry
Proficiency with the installation and repair of servers and standard office equipment
