In this role you will:

  • You will manage engineering related programs or major technical work stream of a broader program. Ensures that the scope of the projects within the broader transformation or program align with business priorities and that business value is measured for prioritization.

  • You will develop and maintain broad knowledge and awareness of Financial Services industry forces, competition, and trends to assess viability of approaches and strategies to engineering programs. Monitors financial, legal, and other regulatory environments to ensure strategies are with the overall company strategy and market conditions.

  • You will communicate with partners, leaders, team members, management, and department partners to ensure that requirements and priorities are comprehensible. Monitors project progress and results and submits regular status reports to management and internal/external partners. Ensures the development and execution of change management and communication plans.

  • You will build and maintain relationships across program partners and actively fosters effective communication between internal and external parties. Drives key decisions to ensure alignment with overarching goals across partners.

  • You will ensure all steps are overseed to mitigate risk and maintains control, compliance, audit, and legal requirements on engineering projects. Maintains an appropriate level of technical and business knowledge to support program implementation.

What it takes:

  • Minimum of eight years related business experience with four years of engineering project management experience required.

  • Must have 3-5 years of experience as a software developer

  • 3+ years of experience in people leadership

  • Bachelor's degree in a related technical discipline Meaningful experience on cloud application architecture (micro-services, containers), operations practices (Agile, DevOps, DevSecOps, and Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery) and tools.

  • Strong working knowledge of Java, JavaScript, micro-services architecture, OAuth token-based authentication protocols, and the AWS environment

  • Experience leading a high-functioning, highly agile team of engineers that delivers scalable and responsive web-based cloud solutions.

  • Success will be measured by; how effectively you are able to deliver APIs and micro-services in a constantly changing technology landscape and value you are creating to enterprise wide stakeholders by means of enabling client journeys and supporting BAU.

  • You will possess a strong technical background, have a demonstrated ability to think strategically, articulate solutions clearly to varying audiences, and assist in the implementation, crew education and rollout of the micro-services and API's.

  • This role requires you to work closely with architects from CTO, Retail & ES&F, as well as, with Vanguard partners, senior business and IT leaders.

The primary responsibility will focus on development, validation and transfer of separations-based analytical methods to QC labs. You should have a broad skill set and knowledge of Separations technologies including chromatography, capillary electrophoresis, and UV/VIS spectroscopy applications. You should be able to thrive in a team setting in a fast-paced GMP environment, contribute technical expertise to multiple large molecule programs, be proficient with documentation and review of analytical data, and possess excellent interpersonal skills. Additional responsibilities for the Associate Scientist may include: * Participate in initiatives to improve lab processes including 5S, Lean in the Lab and visual management. * Execute experiments to develop new separation-based analytical methods * Work with contract and QC laboratories to transfer methods and review data to ensure that quality standards are met * Provide input and identifies problems with scientific experiments * Complete GMP and safety trainings Qualifications * A BS with 2-3 years of experience or a Master's degree in Biochemistry, Chemistry or related discipline with at least 1 year of relevant research experience or pharma/biotech industry experience is required. * A strong background in multiple separation-based technologies (e.g. HPLC, cIEF, cSDS, etc.) is preferred * A protein biochemistry background with knowledge of protein characterization/post-translational modifications is preferred. * Ability to creatively solve technical problems while meeting project timelines * Ability to plan, execute and document studies with limited guidance * Excellent in instrument troubleshooting and routine instrument maintenance * Ability to lead, connect and shape.
