Your Role:

The IT Engineer IV is responsible for the design installation, maintenance, configuration, and integrity of computer operating systems and related software. They Implement operating system improvements that will enhance the reliability and performance of the system. They may also lead the planned and unplanned installation, maintenance, troubleshooting of physical devices, appliances, and peripheries, including server and network hardware, as well as cabling/cable management, power management, etc.

Your work:

  • Designs, installs, configures, and performs system testing of assigned systems or processes.

  • Examples include: mobile voice/data communications, telecom/network infrastructure, servers/operating systems/utilities, security and system monitoring software/hardware.

  • Coordinates, schedules, installs and test hardware and software changes.

  • May also perform capacity and resource planning, risk operations risk, and create contingency plans for systems of high complexity.

  • Researches, evaluates and recommends new products/processes for their domain of expertise such as software, hardware, security, mobile communications, storage or messaging.

  • Researches issues and possible problems with potential upgrades to existing infrastructure.

  • Develops testing and implementation plans.

  • Works with other engineers to plan installations and upgrades and ensure subsequent maintenance in accordance with established IT policies and procedures.

  • Monitors system to achieve optimum performance levels.

Required Experience, Education, and Skills:

  • Project leadership ability including mapping out technical and business dependencies, achievements and timelines.

  • Q/A test experience

  • Understanding of enterprise server security technologies, networking & security protocols, authentication schemes and technologies.

  • Experience in automating server image configuration and management.

  • Image customization and auditing, using shell and batch scripting to further customization, working knowledge of computer hardware, sys prep knowledge, and MS OS configuration.

  • Ability to implement of platform upgrades and migrations

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

  • 8+ years IT work experience working in multiple system environments

  • 8+ years Hardware/software installation and troubleshooting

  • Certification(s) in functional expertise areas.

  • High level of expertise in multiple system environments.

  • Comfortable working in an on-call rotation.

The national average salary range for this position is $122,850-$136,500. However, we have a location-based compensation structure. Our salary ranges vary and are calculated based on county of residence. The full salary range for this position across all the states we hire in is $110,520-$164,000. This role also includes an opportunity for a company-wide annual discretionary bonus, through our Annual Incentive Plan (AIP), of up to 10% of eligible pay.
