Job Description

The IT Engineer II is a problem solver who analyzes models/designs, creates, modifies, and supports a set of complex systems, processes, or operations that enable business capabilities for Harland Clarke.

We are building a modernized manufacturing control system to drive multiple printing plants. We have the benefit of a legacy system to learn from, but we are building new! Where practical, we're using commercial software, but need to augment with custom components.

KEY DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

• Designs, develops, and implements Complex Business Rules

• Creates Application and System Design Documents

• Develops Applications / Reports / Systems

• Estimates component/application and system level work efforts

• Participates on initiatives with deliverables and meets quality standards on time

• Provides guidance to and assists in training less experienced individuals; Delivers personal tasks on time and leads the delivery of tasks for natural or cross-functional workgroup

Qualifications

EDUCATION

• Bachelor's degree (Required)
• In lieu of the above education requirements, a combination of experience and education will be considered.

EXPERIENCE

• 3+ years experience

• Demonstrated experience integrating commercial software packages into larger processes

• Experience with automated workflow control (Camunda or similar)

• Exposure to commercial print composition is a plus (XMPie, Solimar or similar)

• Experience in manufacturing processes is a plus

• Exception handling to guarantee predictable process results

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES

• Understanding of process flows and integration of human workflow with automated processes

• Ability to assess a complex landscape and clearly articulate recommendations

• Well organized, methodical and able to clearly communicate

• Adaptability to varying programming environments such as C#, Angular / JS, Python, RESTful API's, SQL Server

• Familiarity with BPMN process notation is helpful

COMMUNICATION AND CONTACTS

Communicates directly with internal and external customers.

Additional Information

Salary: $100,000-$125,000

The ultimate compensation offered for the position will depend upon several factors such as skill level, cost of living, experience, and responsibilities.
