IT Engineer

Summary

DPS Group is seeking a highly driven, well-rounded IT Engineer to lead the development and implementation of IT infrastructure for our client in Sanford, NC. The ideal candidate possesses experience with implementation of ITIL 4 methodologies, AWS Cloud, HCI (HyperConverged) and Cohesity.

This position is based onsite in Sanford, NC. Only local candidates or candidates willing to relocate to the Sanford, NC area will be considered for this role.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for a variety of engineering and operational assignments associated with all storage (including cloud storage), virtualization, data protection, and shutdown/startup technologies across multiple enterprise-level IT system

• Support and oversee all infrastructure operations and maintenance tasking of deployed operational solutions backed by Microsoft and VMware

• Apply ITIL experience in performance analysis and development of existing processes, procedures and methods to promote effective business and systems operations through standardization, improvement, simplification and discontinuance

• Provide ITIL subject matter expertise to develop, improve, integrate, measure, and report on operational processes throughout network

• Ensure the production and maintenance of documentation of the Infrastructure system(s), sub-system(s), and component(s) in the client's IT hosting portfolio, including as-built documentation, capacity/performance plans, as well as all other area of server system life-cycle planning

• Participate in planning and designing systems to meet the evolving needs of the business

• Provide guidance and solutions to ensure the information systems needs align with the strategic initiatives

• Enhance information systems by identifying information systems technology opportunities and developing application strategies

• Provide Service Desk support as needed

• Other duties as assigned

Skills and Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience creating, implementing, and managing IT infrastructure

• 2+ years of experience working directly for a pharmaceutical, biotech, or other organization that adheres to GMP guidelines

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or other related field

• Demonstrated experience using AWS Cloud, Cohesity, and HyperConverged

• ITIL 4 experience is required, certification is a plus

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Strong ability to communicate technical knowledge to audiences of varying backgrounds

• Ability to provide legal US work authorization documents required. Will consider US domestic travelers and relocation.
