The Hartford's Personal Lines IT Team is seeking a highly motivated experienced IT Leader who is responsible for leading teams to successfully deliver Personal Lines programs, develop our talent, and propel our agile transformation.
Provide day-to-day work direction and strategic planning for short, medium and long term projects.
Ensure robust delivery plans with respect to time, budget, scope, transition into production, etc.
Work closely with key stakeholders, including senior level executive sponsors, to define roadmaps and establish priorities. Manage the competing needs of multiple stakeholders.
Ensure that IT solutions align to defined business strategies and use influence to ensure execution meets long term objectives.
Keep IT and Business stakeholders informed of program status, risks, and key decisions. Ensure transparent and timely communications.
Maintain overall accountability for financial and resource management of all release train deliverables from small enhancements to large programs.
Develop materials/presentations for executive stakeholders on progress, successes, agile maturity, etc.
Manage the relationship with IT, Business and Operations partners at all levels all the organization.
Mature all Agile practices in Personal Lines.
Foster communication and collaboration between Agile teams within the Release Train and all appropriate stakeholders.
Facilitate the agile processes at the program level, including planning periodic reviews and planning sessions with team and product stakeholders, such as ART Synch, Release Planning, System Demos & Solution Demos, the Inspect & Adapt Workshops, and the Scrum of Scrums
Promote team successes on a regular basis.
Management responsibilities for multiple agile teams all aligned to a common customer enablement or value stream.
Encourage and support personal development and the development of the scrum teams
Execute on the workforce strategy for the workstream(s), inclusive of vendor partners, such that the ratios of employee/vendor, onshore/offshore, HIG offices, skill and technology needs are considered to achieve an optimum balance.
Provides input and feedback on growth and development opportunities for team member

10 years of IT Program or Portfolio Management experience
RTE and/or Scrum Master experience using Agile delivery frameworks
Hands on experience with Agile techniques: User Stories, Features, Capabilities and Epics development and refinement, Continuous Integration, Behavior Drive Development (BDD) test automation framework, Continuous Deployments, Regression Testing, Pair Programming, Burn Down Metrics, Velocity, etc.
Experience with Lean Portfolio Management facilitation at the program, portfolio and executive-level
Hands on expertise in Agile methodology and frameworks like Scrum, Kanban, utilizing CA Agile Central/Rally or a similar tool.
Deep knowledge of software development processes and procedures to understand team needs includes fundamentals of iterative and incremental development.
Solid conceptual understanding of technology components, DevOps tools and practices
Resource Management Skills:
ability to determine supply and demand and obtain necessary resources across a matrixed organization to complete the work successfully.
Ability to work across all levels of the organizations
Prior experience in an Agile Transformation in a large organization
Manage financials across the release train to delivery complex solutions
Capability to build empowered, self-managing, self-organizing teams
SAFe Release Train Engineer Certification is a plus
SAFe Certified Scrum Master (SSM) is a plus
