Zimmer Biomet is looking for diverse and talented individuals to join our Information Technology Team. The Director of Enterprise Architecture will lead overall Global IT Architecture function and will work closely with IT and business leadership in order to design target landscape in support of overall business strategy.

  • Manage architecture input into developing the strategic direction over the Business Processes, applications, Data and integration.

  • Define processes to design and communicate the architecture standards, guidelines and statements of direction by tracking the quality, availability and applicability of data and the integration of architecture applications and standards. Ensuring that architecture standards will allow business needs to be achieved, guiding research on industry standards and technologies to ensure proper questions are raised and answered by stakeholders to ensure the establishment of best practices that guide the design of technology solutions.

  • Manage the architecture process for technology solutions by overseeing the development of the company's data and integration architecture; ensuring appropriate use of enterprise architecture methods and content; ensuring appropriate expertise and capacity are aligned to deliver needs; reviewing and facilitating discussion around architecture alternatives; recommending IT solutions to business leaders based on their business needs; communicating recommendation to senior leadership regarding architecture decisions.

  • Research, propose and support the adoption of new technologies within the data and integration domains by collaborating with IT and business leadership to influence decisions regarding technology investment; driving innovation across the team using a deep understanding of how enterprise architecture works within the organization.

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field with at least 12+ years of relative professional experience required; OR Master's degree in business, IT or related field with at least 10+ years of relative professional experience required preferred

  • 10+ years leading Technical Teams

  • 7+ years of demonstrated successful experience leading Enterprise Architecture teams in a large / diverse systems landscape: designing, and implementing enterprise-scale, high volume, high-availability systems, EA governance, and complete Life-Cycle management Significant experience with SAP (Suite, HANA, S/4), JDEdwards, Hyperion, and TeamCenter.

  • Preferred experience in regulated environments (21 CFR Part 11)

  • 7+ years of experience leading the application of Enterprise Architecture frameworks, such as TO

The Global IT Manufacturing Operations Management (MOM) leader collaborates with business leaders and key users in the Global Manufacturing Operations organization to drive digital transformation Solutions. Responsible for implementing digital transformation initiatives to lead Zimmer Biomet to implement Smart Factory (Industry 4.0) Solutions in manufacturing operations. Responsible for architecting and implementing global alignment on ZB manufacturing systems to drive standardized processes while leveraging ZB approved manufacturing systems to position us to leverage these solutions in factories around the globe. The end goal of this position is to partner with business in developing an aligned One Zimmer Biomet MES Center of Excellence driving a "one solution" approach for a global Smart Factory while also providing Global strategic direction for ZB for ISA Level 3 & lower manufacturing systems. This is inclusive of but may not be limited to these systems: Camstar, Delmia, Infinity QS, Wonderware. Responsible for collaborating with key business partners to develop the global strategic roadmaps and driving the execution of related implementation plans. Responsible for defining and developing robust steady-state support capabilities for MES and related shop floor systems. Responsible for directing all activities of IT support to Manufacturing and Shop Floor functions. Provides strategic leadership, and directs resources to support the enterprise business goals. Partners with the Manufacturing and Shop Floor organizations to align IT projects and initiatives with the overall business strategy. Responsible for delivering solid business results through a capable team of IT professionals, holding staff accountable for acquiring, building, supporting and inspiring high‐performing and highly engaged talent.
