An IT Developer is desired in the Waterloo, IA area with a consumer goods manufacturing company.
Education & Experience: 4-year degree beneficial, IT Certification a plus.
RF and Scanner experience.
Knowledge of ERP Systems and Reporting.
Collaborate and work closely with overall IT and functional customers to bring optimum solutions and delivery to customers.
Sharp analytical and planning skills, team orientation, change and project management skills, and strong written, verbal and demonstration technique.
Day-To-Day Responsibilities: The IT Developer handles established developmental tool guidelines and conventions including but not narrowed to ASP.NET, SQL Server, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and C #/VB.NET.
Design code and test advanced Windows and web software applications.
Enhance existing systems by considering business objectives fitting an action plan and describing areas for adaptation and development.
Examine and establish skills in advanced technologies.
Devise technical specifications and assess plans.

The Development and Community Relations Director will work under the direction of the Corps Officer with a dotted reported line to the Divisional Development Director in the development of fundraising campaigns, capital campaigns, foundation and private grants. The Development and Community Relations Coordinator Director will also assist the Corps Officer in developing and maintaining a strong, active and involved Advisory Board. Develop and present presentations to civic and service groups/organizations. Salary $40,000 plus benefits. Responsibilities Development Responsibilities:• Develop a strategic plan for direction and implementation of local fundraising campaigns and community relations• Develop a strong donor cultivation plan by working with the Divisional Development team which includes the Divisional Development Director, Major Gifts, Planned Giving• Implement a tracking mechanism for all grant and donor proposals • Provide monthly contact reports for meaningful contact with donors, media, corporations, foundations, potential donors, prospective volunteers, etc. • Maintain and record all donor actions into the Divisional/Territorial CRM database weekly• Manages and monitors the effectiveness of direct mail and makes recommendations to the Corps Officer.• Attend Advisory Board meetings and, with corps officer, organize Advisory Board development, recognition, orientation and other related board activity. Assume overall responsibility for the creation, planning and implementation of special events (e.g. annual civic dinner) and other events fostering public awareness, donor cultivation and recognition activities.• Maintain professional status and current knowledge in development, community and public relations fields.• Individually and along with local leadership and support staff when appropriate, presents the story, mission and needs of The Salvation Army to community leaders, groups, organizations, and media• Create, prepare and communicates marketing material and press releases including social media and the website.• Attends quarterly Divisional Development meetings.• Other duties as assigned that are in relation to work in Development. Volunteer Responsibilities: • Develop and implement a system to actively recruit, screen, and place volunteers within the various Corps programs, including developing training/outreach materials to effectively conduct orientations, tours, and training sessions. • Coordinate and lead a minimum of 7 of 10 Service Enterprise initiatives to obtain and maintain Service Enterprise Certification.• Develop strong relationships within the community to foster a positive image such that companies and volunteers will make the Army the volunteer organization of choice, including providing team-building volunteer opportunities • Train staff on essentials of working with and supervising volunteers. • Enter all data into The Salvation Army Volunteer Database; compile and analyze statistics for trends, future planning and Corps' needs• Maintain records for volunteers, student interns, community service, and AARP program workers. Report hours worked and duties completed to appropriate personnel. • Lead, coordinate, plan, and oversee all aspects to insure a successful donor and volunteer recognition event • Coordinate and lead all volunteer-driven activities such as food drives, walks, nursing home visits, Christmas, back to school programs among others. • Recruit and schedule volunteer groups from local organizations and businesses to ring bells for the Kettle campaign.• Direct the execution of an effective on-line presence for volunteer activities. Qualifications A minimum of two years experience in development, marketing, community relations or sales. Ability to connect with others and forge strong relationships. Able to build trusted relationships with internal staff, volunteers and Advisory Board Members and external stakeholders. Excellent written, interpersonal and verbal communication skills. Foundation and grant writing experience. Familiarity with CRM databases and ability to learn new software as needed. Highly organized, analytical, proficient in Microsoft Office programs and volunteer tracking databases. Must pass all applicable background checks. English proficiency sufficient for communication with supervisors, co-workers, clients and customers. This position is required to do basic business and office work. Individual must also be able to lift up to fifty pounds. The use of office and computer equipment is necessary.
