The candidate will possess an aptitude for working with Microsoft-based applications, with emphasis on Windows 7/10 and MS Office suites (2010/2013/2016). Candidates will rely on internal training, previous knowledge, and informed judgment to identify, diagnose, and resolve or route tickets accurately and in accordance with documented processes. br br Daily tasks include (but are not limited to): br o Active Directory Administration br o Limited support for corporate mobile devices br o Familiarity with cloud applications (Box, Office365, etc.) br o Troubleshooting Cisco VPN connectivity br o Familiarity supporting Citrix connectivity br o Remediating Symantec Endpoint Protection br o Dameware remote connection/utilization br o Altiris Deployment server utilization br o Asset management skills br o Internet Explorer and various browser(s) support br o Installation/configuration of various Adobe products br o Installation/configuration of Check Point endpoint client software br o Printer/driver troubleshooting & installation br o ServiceNow utilization br o Cisco WebEx service support br o Box user administration br o Deployment/configuration of standard IP telephony br o Hardware ordering/deployment br br Additional responsibilities may include: br o Documentation (records) management br o Knowledge base utilization br o Project interaction br o Customer scheduling/follow-ups br o End user equipment moves (disconnect/reconnect) br o Multi-team interaction and/or technical roundtable participation br o Standard device imaging via USB/PXE server(s) br o Smart-Hands tasks/functions outside of standard operational work br br Performance is measured on a variety of key performance indicators, priority matrix comprehension/adherence, SLA, and customer service. The successful candidate will provide excellent customer service and adhere to all service management principles, documented processes, and team guidelines.

This role requires the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of customers, team members, managers, and subject matter experts in-person. The Corporate Field Services technician will take ownership of follow up status and communicate progress regularly to both their customers and leadership (when requested). Duration: 12 months Location: Corning, NY Job Title: HPC Operations Technician Work Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00-5:00 Pay: Based on experience   Position Overview and Responsibilities: Provide technical support of the Linux & Windows HPC-backend Scientific Computing (SC) environment ensuring reliability, stability, performance and security of the network and computing infrastructure.
