IT Data & Analytics Intern

Job Description

During the summer program, the intern will work within the Data & Analytics organization focused in one or several of the following areas:

  • Data Modeling

  • Data Science

  • Data Visualization

The Data & Analytics Interns will gain exposure in the following areas:

  • Direct client interaction

  • Business Requirement Gathering

  • On-time Delivery

  • Importance of an Outcome focus

  • Development of Best Practices

  • Industry Leading Tools in Respective Role

  • Agile Development

General Qualifications

  • Current Junior to Grad Student with strong GPA

  • Communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences

  • Curiosity to solve business issues with data

  • Criticalthinking and ability tointerrogate results

  • Self-driven and motivated to accomplish goals

  • Strong understanding of data modeling

  • Leadership experience during college years

  • Strong analytical skills

  • Eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship

  • Transportation to and from office

Role Specification Qualifications

  • Data Modeling SAP HANA, Performance Focus

  • Data Science Machine Learning Expertise, SQL, Hadoop, R or Python

  • Data Visualization Tableau & Data Visualization Techniques, Business Acumen

We are actively pursuing an intern with a Safety background to complete a 10 plus week internship program at the Neenah Mill in Neenah, WI starting in May 2019. The internship will provide exposure to many aspects of operations including a multi-functional team setting, real time production, process experience and project work with specific deliverables and exposure to the mill leadership team. Interns will participate in mills and production line operations to learn technical properties and quality issues of paper or paper based materials. Ideal candidates will possess high initiative and drive, with a curiosity to perpetually learn and improve our business. Key requirements include the ability to analyze information to find opportunities, effectively communicate, and work collaboratively in a team setting. Responsibilities * Work with the Safety Manager and Operations team on process efficiency improvements, safety initiatives, safety training etc. * Work on projects assigned by mill leadership. * Attend meetings with leadership team, reporting out on assigned tasks and present finding from special projects. * Work with leadership to modify or create standard operating procedures. Qualifications * Individual must be currently enrolled and working toward a BS in Safety Engineering or Safety related discipline is required. * Student will need to have completed a minimum of 2-full years of course work with preference for individuals who have completed 3-full years. * Preference is a minimum 3.0 GPA in your academic field of study. * Ideal candidates will possess high initiative and drive, with a curiosity to perpetually learn and improve our business. * Key requirements include the ability to analyze information to find opportunities, effectively communicate, and work collaboratively in a team setting.
