IT Data Analyst

Status: Contract assignment
Estimated Duration: 3 months with extensions
Hourly Target Range: TBD
A Health Insurance company is presently looking for a Data Analyst to join their team. This position is entry level and will be mainly responsible for data analysis. Selected candidate will be responsible for pulling data from multiple resources, merging those data sources and providing updates. Candidates must have strong Excel skills, some IT Support background excellent communication skills.

Excellent communication skills to work with IT Support and Employees
Experience with Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables, etc.)
Requires good analytical and communication skills, sound judgment, and the ability to work effectively with client and IT staff.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

This role will be responsible for analyzing data, reporting, tracking and providing results to management based on the direction of the analysis.
Responsible for reporting and data analysis
Assisting in lease swap validation in support of the Windows 10 project
Tracking and updating lease records based on swap allocation
Validating lease records across multiple sources of data
Some day to day responsibilities:

Provides guidance, assistance, coordination and follow up on client questions, problems or malfunctions of all systems applications, hardware and software installed or maintained by IT.
Responds to client staff' s telephone inquiries concerning support, processing or request procedures, systems status and network connectivity, and a variety of hardware and software problems of all installed application hardware and software products supported by IT.
Records inquiries, repair and service requests, resolves or directs requests to appropriate technical area or vendor, tracks status and follows up to ensure client satisfaction.
Escalates to or consults with senior staff when solution is unclear.
Reports problems with procedures and makes suggestions for improvements. Receives direct supervision.
Education:

Associate degree in Computer Science or a related discipline and up to two years of experience in IT or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.

VIEW JOBS 11/18/2018 12:00:00 AM 2019-02-16T00:00 Job Overview: The PS15-1509 Screening, Brief Intervention, and Referral to Treatment (SBIRT) Data Analyst is responsible for managing the data collected in support of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Project for Comprehensive Prevention, Care, Behavioral Health, and Social Services for Men Who Have Sex with Men of Color at Risk for and Living with HIV Infection (PS15-1509) in Philadelphia. The PS15-1509 project will end on September 30, 2019 with the possibility of the project being extended by CDC for an additional year. The position is located in the Information Services Unit of the AIDS Activities Coordinating Office (AACO) of the City of Philadelphia's Department of Public Health (PDPH) and reports to the PS 15-1509 Evaluation Coordinator. The Data Analyst will work with PDPH and staff at the provider agencies funded by AACO to ensure that data are collected from provider agency sites and other sources, analyzed, and reported to CDC, funded providers, and other stakeholders. The Data Analyst will also assist in developing and implementing performance improvement processes and provide other support as needed. Please include a resume and cover letter with all applications. Responsibilities: * Responsible for the evaluation and management of PS 15-1509 data with particular concentration on data related to the SBIRT evaluation plan. * Perform extensive data extraction, cleaning, analysis and quality reviews from multiple data sources using SAS, Access and Excel. * Institute methods of monitoring data submissions for timeliness, completeness and accuracy. * Preparation of reports based on these analyses for AACO management and submission to the CDC. * Participation in formal and/or informal presentation of findings. * Provide technical assistance and training to contracted provider agency staff on research, evaluation and information systems activities and data systems. * Performs related work as required. Skills: * Extensive expertise in SAS, MS Excel, and MS Word are required to analyze data and present reports. * Familiarity with MS Access and PowerPoint preferred. * Present ideas effectively, both orally and in writing. * Ability to multitask and demonstrate flexibility in responding to change. * Effective communication and interpersonal skills. * Effective organizational skills. * Ability to work with people of diverse backgrounds. Experience: * Minimum of five years of experience in data extraction, cleaning, analysis and compiling reports using SAS. * Experience with EvaluationWeb and Ryan White CAREWare preferred but not required. * Some experience with MS Access and Excel preferred. * Demonstrated ability to work independently, as well as part of a team. Education Requirement: * Bachelor's degree required.
