Job Responsibilities
With our Agency's mission to support the recovery of people with mental illnesses, we provide a complete array of medical and support services for children, adults, and families throughout South Carolina.
This position is located at the Department of Mental Health, 610 Faison Drive, Columbia, SC 29203.
Responsibilities for this IT Costumer Support Specialist III include but are not limited to:
Performs Desktop support for Inpatient Services personnel.
Administers the Inpatient Services Help Desk.
Participates in system configuration and equipment installation.
Conducts interviews with users to define needs and make recommendations to support users' needs.
Assists in administration of various communication systems and equipment.
Communicates information from Network Services to various levels of staff in the supported areas.
Minimum and Additional Requirements
State Minimum Requirements: A high school diploma and experience in office automation systems, data communications system design, installation, operation, repair, or processing of information in a data processing environment or related systems. An associate degree or a bachelor's degree in a related field may be substituted for the required work experience.
Agency (Facility) Minimum Requirements: A high school diploma and experience in information technology, electronics technology systems, or other related areas. An associate degree or bachelor's degree in a related field may be substituted for the required experience.

Additional Comments
The selected candidate must have basic knowledge of networking, PC operating systems, computer hardware, printers, and Microsoft Office. Must be able to travel to multiple locations in the Columbia area.
