Position Overview
This position supports the facility in all aspects of IT, including desktop, mobile, network, and wireless troubleshooting. Coordinates all IT projects and ensures company resources are utilized appropriately. Compiles project status reports, coordinates project schedules, manages project meetings, and identifies and resolves technical problems. Identifies and analyzes systems requirements and defines project scope, requirements, and deliverables. Coordinates project activities and ensures all project phases are documented appropriately. Works closely with corporate IT to ensure standards are maintained.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Respond to incident and service requests for technical assistance in person, via phone, and electronically.
Install and configure software and hardware including but not limited to: printers, network cards, phone systems and surveillance video/CCTV
Clean, modify and repair computer hardware including monitors, keyboard/Mouse and printers.
Manage servers - Including user access and management.
Set up new user hardware and physical spaces.
Maintain licenses and upgrade schedules.
Serve as liaison between Corporate IT and end user.
Implement and maintain security standards.
Apply and institute protocols for the use of IT across departments and projects.
Work with corporate IT to provide advice on the most suitable IT choices.
Provide technical support or training for systems and networks.
Monitor system performance
Perform troubleshooting and repairs and maintenance activities.
Collaborate with other professionals to maintain standards and functionality.
Qualifications
1-3 years of experience in a similar role; previous IT experience in a production/manufacturing environment preferred.
Ability to relate to and empathize with customers
Solid knowledge of IT systems and applications
Understanding of LAN/WAN configuration
Experience in support roles preferred
Bachelors or technical degree in information technology preferred
Certification (CompTIA A+, Network+, and Security+ etc.) is desirable
Ability to troubleshoot and repair issues
Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Excellent organizational and coordination abilities
Strong attention to detail

The Folding Carton Division is an industry leading manufacturer of folding cartons for food, beverage, tissue, hardware, confectionary, and many other industries. Employing around 300 people, this facility designs, prints, and manufactures folding cartons, trays, and counter displays for a broad range of products and customers.
