The Information Technology Communications Analyst will be responsible for planning and executing initiatives designed to help our enormous Information Technology team (120+ leaders, 1,100+ team members) communicate and collaborate more efficiently and effectively. The IT Communications Analyst will be a part of our IT Communications Strategy team, which is tasked with a variety of projects and responsibilities designed to educate the entire IT team through effective knowledge sharing, strengthen our UWM technology brand externally, and support our investments in current IT team member growth.

The team member in this role will work closely with leaders and team members across the floor to improve existing processes and create new ones surrounding how we communicate, amplify our various teams' goals, progress, and successes, and engage our team with important, relevant, and interesting updates and information. The team member in this role will be required to stay informed about the current status of multiple teams, projects, and initiatives, so that they can succinctly communicate those statuses to other leaders and teams quickly and accurately.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

  • Spearheading a wide range of projects from proposal to completion, including collecting research, developing an implementation plan and timeline, and carrying out that plan, gathering feedback and pivoting, as needed, along the way.

  • Collaborating with leaders and team members across IT and the company to identify opportunities for improvement and create solution-oriented action plans.

  • Writing, editing, and formatting content for our internal Decoder email newsletter, distributed multiple times per week.

  • Assisting in the production of internal educational videos, including pre-interviewing guests and scripting content.

  • Assist in compiling and revising team submissions to our weekly leadership report.

  • Writing and editing emails, social media content, and other copy, often as a ghost-writer, as assigned by leaders on a case-by-case basis.

  • Supporting the ongoing efforts of our teams and leaders, as well as our Women In Technology team member resource group.

  • Planning and facilitating meetings and events, including coordinating with appropriate teams throughout the company.

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU

Must Have Qualifications:

  • A college degree (Associates or Bachelor) in Communication, English, Creative Writing, or similar field.

  • At least 1 year of professional experience in an Administration, Coordinator, or Project Facilitator role

  • Experience in writing and editing compelling content, and will be able to share writing samples upon request.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).

  • Experience working with leadership at all levels - providing them written updates, collection and incorporating their feedback, etc.

  • Strong multi-tasking skills, with the ability to simultaneously drive multiple projects, in different stages, forward.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including ability to create a wide variety of materials in a timely manner.

  • Exceptional people skills, with strong initiative to connect with leaders and team members and build relationships quickly.

  • Curiosity and eagerness to learn more about new concepts, ideas, and technologies.

  • Proactive and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage projects from inception through execution.

  • Strong problem-solving skills, with a willingness to take initiative, while juggling several priorities.

  • Ability to both work independently and collaboratively, with a positive attitude, 'yes' mentality, and receptive to feedback.

Nice to Have Qualifications:

  • Experience writing content for a newsletter, grant proposals, or similar.

  • Familiarity with Software Development Life Cycle, Agile methodologies, and Atlassian Confluence is a plus.
