The IT Communications Analyst will work closely with the IT Communications Manager to deliver products to support the IT and CIO communications function.


  • Lead the development of content for the IT network digital monitors. Collaborate with service owners, project/program owners, Corporate Communications and other key individuals to identify their content needs, and develop the requisite digital signage.

    Create engaging slides to broadcast IT news, events, programs, etc. on the digital monitors shown across the organization. Ensure monitors across the enterprise are updated daily and weekly, as needed.

  • Create an IT intranet site content strategy. Oversee IT intranet site content.

    Identify new content needs; research content and accompanying images; draft content; determine layout and format; and post content and imagery. Collaborate across the enterprise to identify key IT stakeholders' website content needs, and draft their messaging. Ensure outdated information is removed in a timely manner.

  • Develop effective internal IT communication plans and messages to be shared across a variety of vehicles, e.g. emails, intranet, all hands, offsites, digital signage, etc., for differing audiences.

  • Support the senior director and manager by playing an integral role planning for strategic meetings, town halls, all hands, etc.


Bachelor's degree in Communications, English or a related field or equivalent work experience.


  • 2 5 years of related experience

  • Organized and detail-oriented multi-tasker

  • Ability to exercise confidentiality around sensitive information

The consultant will be responsible for evaluating existing training program and developing education strategies for large-scale organizational change and developing communications products such as fact sheets, talking points, blogs, etc. Additionally, the consultant will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing training programs to support of a large transformational program.<br />  <br /> Project Background<br /> The Strategic Communications Consultant role will be part of a larger program implementation support services contract in support of an enterprise-wide transformation of VA’s health care delivery system called VHA Community Care. The program will provide Veteran patients with greater access to care through an integrated network of VA health care facilities and community providers in a manner that is easy to understand, simple to administer, and meets the needs of Veterans, community providers, and VA employees. The VHA Community Care Program Implementation Support contract will adapt commercial best practices and principles from payers and providers to help modernize VA’s clinical and business processes and capabilities to successfully transform VA community care and improve the Veteran, community provider and VA employee experience. The successful candidate is independent, has a high attention to detail, creative, strong written and oral communication skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office, communications software, and preferably but not required, e-Learning authoring software (Articulate 360). Daily responsibilities include writing communications from strategic at program levels to individual project artifacts, using communications background to assist in design and ownership of design of training products and artifacts.<br />  <br /> This role requires a combination of communications, learning design, problem solving and analytical skills, collaboration and teamwork, flexibility, and client relationship building/management skills.<br /> • Demonstrates proficiency in relationship and time management, functioning in a dual role of Communications and Training support to the VHA client<br /> • Create programmatic and project-specific strategic communications plans and artifacts<br /> • Provide verbal and written communications support for a large, federal health program.<br /> • Develop materials such as communications plans, leadership briefings, fact sheets, website content, and email blasts that are high quality and free of errors.<br /> • Effectively and professionally engage with all project stakeholders and explain complex systems in plain language<br /> • Demonstrate excellence in oral and written communications (briefings, presentations, and client ready documentation).<br /> • A writing sample will be a requirement of the interview process.<br /> • Provide subject matter expertise in communications strategy and approach<br /> • Develop subject matter expertise in the program to enhance communications artifacts and programs with minimal supervision<br /> • Manage day-to-day client relationships and communications<br /> • Represent ERPi at client progress meetings and briefings.<br /> • Prepare progress reports and client briefings.<br /> • Prepare quality client deliverables.<br /> • Demonstrate collaborative teamwork<br /> • Comfortable serving as a back-up or learning web page design/content updates as needed.<br /> • Knowledge of Section 508 accessibility standards<br /> • Provides support in adult learning and instructional design through course development<br /> • Demonstrates thoughtful approach to organizing content and artifact design in developing computer-based training courses and products<br /> • Help to plan and execute program within client governance structure.<br /> • Support client growth initiatives by identifying additional opportunities and scoping/responding to follow-on tasks.<br />  <br /> <strong> <br /> Required Skills and Experience:</strong><br /> • Minimum of five years’ experience in a strategic communications role developing program level plans and project-specific artifacts.<br /> • Ability to develop a basic subject-matter understanding through materials provided and individual research/collaboration with course/content SMEs.<br /> • Demonstrated writing, editing, proofreading, and formatting of client-ready materials.<br /> • Experience in developing learner centric products to include performance support solutions.<br /> • Strong consulting and interpersonal skills;
