IT Cloud Security Engineer

Join a team of cloud infrastructure professionals and help iptiQ America's to fulfil its mission in making the world more resilient! As an IT Cloud Security Engineer, your task will be defining the managing our Cloud setup, implementing preventive and detective security-enforcing controls, and automating monitoring and metrics. What's more, you'll be working in a hybrid setup, balancing work from home and the office premises.

About the team

The Cloud Infrastructure team is responsible for managing iptiQ's IT infrastructure, Security, DevOps and IT Support. We are responsible for building and maintaining reliable and resilient infrastructure that enables us to provide best possible quality of service to our distribution partners. We are also providing support to various teams in iptiQ with matters related to IT infrastructure and related services.

About the role

• Experienced with vulnerability management, and operations in key security components as well as security compliance.

• Discover security gaps and implement necessary remediation functionality and configurations.

• Understand the vulnerability alerts provided by the internal security tools, identify the specific issue and underlying cause in our infrastructure from those alerts, prepare actionable remediation tasks and collaborate in implementing those remediations as well as document SOPs to improve our security posture.

• Serve as main contact between the local and global infosec teams and iptiQ Americas cloud infrastructure team.

• Evangelize Cloud Security practices and mindset within IptiQ Americas.

• Collaborate with infrastructure engineers during the implementation and maintenance of azure infrastructure.

About you

• You have good interpersonal skills and is able to work proactively and serve as SME for other members of the team.

• Desired technical skills are PaloAlto firewalls, Cloudflare, Kubernetes as well networking and security in Azure cloud.

• The role requires working during US business hours (10am -6pm CET) and sometimes during maintenance windows.

Nice-to-have

• Understanding of DevSecOps practices, including usage of tools like Jira, Confluence Azure DevOps

• Microsoft, CISSP, CCSP, SANS GIAC or similar qualifications

For Armonk the estimated base salary range for this position is $104,000 to $168,000. The specific salary offered for this or any given role will take into account a number of factors including but not limited to job location, scope of role, qualifications, complexity/specialization/scarcity of talent, experience, education, and employer budget.
