SAIC is seeking junior- to mid-level Cyber Security Analysts OR Java programmers to support an exciting mission-oriented program for the Intelligence Community. This opportunity will allow qualified candidates with recent development or Cyber Security experience to be sponsored for a US Security Clearance.

For Java candidates, responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Develop software using a variety of technologies including: Java, JavaScript, J2EE, SQL and third party APIs to interact with various databases and web services.

  • Support the design and implementation of new deployment tools for an enterprise software portfolio, and assist in requirements analysis, software design, coding, unit testing, integration, installation and maintenance.

For Cyber Security candidates, responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Manage all aspects of Information Systems (IS), data availability, integrity, authentication, confidentiality, and non-repudiation.

  • Implement and monitor security measures for communication systems, networks, and provide advice that systems and personnel adhere to established security standards and Governmental requirements for security on these systems.

  • Develop and execute Government approved security policies, plans, and procedures; design and implement data network security measures.

  • Conduct vulnerability assessments and carries out penetration tests.

  • Perform social engineering tests and analyzes technical security weaknesses.

  • Research and maintain proficiency tools, techniques, countermeasures, and trends in computer and network vulnerabilities, data hiding, and encryption.

  • Develop tools, techniques, training, and countermeasures for computer and network vulnerabilities, data hiding, and encryption.

NOTICE: Upon receiving a U.S. Security Clearance, the successful candidate must remain in the position for a period of one year.

  • US Citizenship is required in order to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance

  • 0-10 years of experience working in a Cyber-security or Java programming position or exposure through education

  • Experience adapting easily to new and changing technologies

  • Experience using tools such as Wireshark, Nessus, or Splunk OR experience with Java Programming

  • Experience working across organizations, managing multiple, High-priority tasks

  • Excellent written communication skills are required

Conducts user training and awareness activities under the direction of the GCI IAM, ISSM, or Customer Security Conducts and/or Coordinates security investigations of all suspected computer security violations, incidents, and compromises as directed by the ISSM, IAM, or Customer Security Representatives Participate in self-assessment of system safeguards and program elements and in assessment and authorization of the system Ensures Configuration Management (CM) for IS software and hardware is maintained and documented Serves as member of the Configuration Management Board for system(s) for which they are responsible Coordinates/obtains approval from GCI and/or Customer Security representatives for the procurement of software, hardware, and firmware for use on assigned IS(s) Conducts security audits and ensures that audit trails are reviewed and audit records archived in accordance with GCI and Customer security requirements Works with System Administrators to ensure that IS(s) operate in accordance with GCI and Customer security policies and procedures Disseminates IA policies and procedures to IS users and ensures that users abide by these policies and procedures Oversees other site IAO(s) and directed by the GCI IAM Possess a working knowledge of industry best practices for Information Assurance as well as applicable information security documents such as ICD 503, Risk Management Framework (RMF), NISPOM, and NIST Security+ Certification 2 or more years of System Administration or Network Administration experience 2 or more years of IA/INFOSEC experience Education BA/BS in a related field Qualifications 10+ years of Information Assurance experience CISSP and Network+ certification preferred IT certification from Microsoft, Linux or Cisco preferred.
